My friend has a 4-door '03 Harely F-150 and that thing is a beast. It only has about 40 hp difference, but look at the torque difference. I drove it before I got my truck and that Supercharger screams and that truck pulls like crazy. Probably the reason that the Lightning guys call out the Dodge is probably because of the famous "Hemi" and up to now there was nothing else around with their kind of horsepower. To me it's still like the big kid picking on the little kid. Kind of like a Grand National calling out a stock Buick Regal.

 

Well I know that most dealership will keep the warranties on the vehicle if they do the install and if its a dodge/mopar part. However I dont think dodge/mopar makes a descent turbo (if any) for the newer Hemi's

 

haha good analogy.....unless it's a Regal T-type

 

bottom line folks the Ford is quicker

 

yeah I knew that, I was wondering if anyone with modded hemi's had beaten an SVT. I don't think anyone was really disagreeing with the fact that a Lightning is faster...

 

Just to let anyone know I have and am willing to go rounds with these trucks. Chevy SS is nice but i have eatn them and continue to do so. As far as the lighting Off the line I get them once they hit third that's when it get's interesting. unfortunately I havent yet eatn a Lighting but they are going to be my next victim. As far as a warrenty is concerned the second your rachet opens up that engine your warrenty is voided. Now if you mess your engine up and keep your stock stuff remove your mods and throw your stock junk back on and roll the dice. When you take your truck to the stealership they look for stuff like that and then put that info in thier system so all stealerships know your ****'s voided. As far as superchargers i am waiting for Kenny Bell to get it right for the Heni and that's what i'm trowing on my truck.

You would really have to mod the hemi out in order to beat the lightning. That SC it has is a killer.



I would like to find out and I'll ask around and see but I want to find out if I brought the stuff to dodge and had their tech put it in or if Dodge makes a turbo for the 5.7 Hemi that wouldn't void anything but I know its a far stretch though.......
