Default Tough Muffler Decision! Show truck!

Hey everybody. I have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 quad cab Laramie 2 wheel drive 5.7 hemi. (automatic) I have a volant air system, airaid throttle body spacer, hedmen headers, superchips computer, and a 70 series flowmaster dumped off right before the axle. With no resonators. My truck doesnt sound nearly what I want it to. Although people can pick my truck out a mile away. It does have a very destinct sound but I want louder. BUT CLEAN! AND DEEP! I was reading here that all flowmasters lose power on the hemi's. Except for the HD50 Muffler. I would love to get the super 40 on there to really get the sound out of it but if were talking a major horsepower difference between the super 40 and the hd50 then maybe the 50 is worth going for. My truck is fully layed out on airbags on 24's. I have a loud *** system and love to cruise. I would pick sound over power but...... Well u get the idea. I just put the hedmen headers on my truck and didnt notice a sound difference. I know they can be opened up but how? I would be willing to take off the cat if it would sound clean. Forget the neighbors and emissions. Any input would be appreciated. Check out my website for more info on the truck. www.cardomain.com/id/blairski. And Im always up for new suggestions. Thanks

If you want a clean sounding and loud exhaust then try the Aero Turbine 3030 muffler. Plus, they look siiiiiick! It would fit your truck perfectly. Click here to go to the website for that system. They have sound clips there too click here for the sound clips. The 5.7L Hemi is the first one. I think that you will be very impressed with it if you buy it, from what I've heard these things really wake a truck up.

If you want it loud and you dont care about emissions or your neighbors then get some electronic cut-outs. Basically with them installed with a flip of a switch you would be running sraight headers which will deffinately give you the loud sound. If you want a cleaner loud and deep rumble try the Magnaflow systems. And if you still dont like any of them go with a flowmaster system (however you wont be setting off any car alarms with them)

For a single into dual setup the 40 series is very aggressive sounding for a hemi truck. YOu will be happy with that. Magnaflow and all the others dont compare with the aggressive sound of the 40. It does drone though because a hemi really needs a larger muffler than the 40 series. But you said you want loud and aggressive so thats what you need.
