Wow screw toyota i eat tacomas all DAY
LOL with a 3.7 you eat Tacoma's? The new current V8 Dakota's cant even hang with Tacoma's 4.0.

The V8 was over a second slower in the 1/4 and 0-60. The Tacoma was faster with a 1000lbs of payload vs the Dakota empty so I imagine the lowly 3.7 would get eaten alive.

I just want to let you toyota guys know that im not against toyotas, but you guys who are sayin dodges dont last...my 02' dodge ram 1500 has lasted over 130,000 miles with no major work done, the only thing ive done is changed my u-joint, and it still runs like a charm, and i am not exactally nice to it either, i abuse the hell out of it, i am only 17, so you can probably imagine how i drive. Im really happy with my truck. Also, my dad has an 06' tundra with the umm... 5.4L?? i think, and i have to admit, it has some pretty good power, but i would choose my truck over his any day.

Look these guys talk alot and don't back it up, they are all internet racers. I challenged them to come out and run with some trucks this friday at a legal amatuer day at the drag strip but no, they will not. I never got hostile with them but their panties still got put into a twist from my posts. It's sad that a 19 year old can upset so many old men without even getting hostile.I thought these guys were from the tough none emotional era, I guess I was wrong. I have said it before and I will say it again.......

PUT UP OR SHUT UP.

i hope i did that quote right, but all i have to say to that is AMEN, if you guys are sayingyour truck is faster, why wont you show up at the strip? you can talk all you want, but that doesnt change how quick your truck is. I'd like to see the results of some legit races, 1/4 or 1/8 mile. Im not sayin the hemi is gunna win everytime or anything like that, but it would be interesting to see the results.

I dont know if you would want to even do that, you know your towing capacity is 4600lbs at best almost 2k under the Tacoma and the V6 Dakota still uses the notoriously weak 42RE tranny so I think your Tranny would give out long before your rear end. I cant say anything bad about the Dodge 5 speed auto as mine behind the Hemi has never given me any issues.

yea, sounds like a nice motor. the truck tho is about 2000 pounds heavier than it's ram 1500 counterpart. so the hemi still wins heads up.

IDK guys, I was convinced the HEMI was in a class of its own...Toyota is making a pretty competitive product though. You gotta give them some credit, they started off making work trucks for the average joe, not fancy hondas calling themselves trucks with all there fancy this and thats. A lotta people drive them and hell I see a LOT of them lifted with hugee tires on them too. The new tundra looks like its got some good stuff going for it...I just wanna see Dodge come up with something better, because for me, yea the Toyotas nice, but I'd like to drive an american truck...even though that thing is just damn near american as any other truck seeing how its built here as many of our trucks are now built in like Mexico and stuff. Toyota put out some good numbers on there truck for 07'....lets see what dodge will do for 08'. Trust me guys...there not gonna let us down. And one other thing...I hate drivetrain loss! 345hp-260hp at the wheels? ahg just makes me angry lol, but hell i need that 4x4 even though Long Island has seen all of less than 3 inches total accumulation for 2007.
