was wondering if anyone else has seen the new 07 silverado's? has an aviable 6 liter with 367 horsepower and was wondering if some hemi owners are going to be worried about not having the most powerful truck on the road anymore....
I think it's ugly but we will get beat. Is that the motor they are going to put in the SS or are they just going to phase those out? Hope not, I kinda like them.
The new 2007 SS has 345 HP and 380 lb.ft. torque. Which was smart on there part to give it 5 lb.ft. more so they can say more power then a Hemi. They can have there 5 lb.ft. of more torque for $34K. I'll take my 375 for $20k any day. That pig of a truck weighs 5038 pounds and comes with 3.73 gears. My truck weighs 4529 and will smoke an SS all day any day!
is yours a RCSB 4x2? that's what I have and I am curious to whether I could own a stock SS. Figured I could from a roll but I don't know my exact weight. I thought it was somewhere around 4600 pounds.
on the chevy site it says that is has an avialbe 367hp 6liter engine, does not say what truck its for but that would be kinda dumb to hava 367 option when the ss only has 345(and it does). Maybe the 6liter is for a 3500 or something heavy duty. but how does the ss still have less then that. look at the srt-10 500 horse....even the heavy duty rams dont have that much..
i have to agree sometimes beauty is more important than muscle, i would rather have a sick *** looking truck with 345 hp than a pos looking truck with 1000 hp anyday
