Default RE: sub box

i have the single sub version with a boston 12 inch. my amp is under the power driver seat. i ran my sub wires beside the hump in the back floor board. the sub only gets 200 watts rms from my four channel but my rear view mirror is usless at anything above half volume, depending on the music. load the box with poly fill too! oh and i kept my stock headunit for a cleaner factory look. Everytime my friends ride with me i get the same round of questions..."this is factory?!" etc. i would upgrade the door speakers as well. HUGE difference in those alone. i have swiss audio components in the front and love them.

dont go cheap on the subs either!! u will be veryupset if u skip the bill on the subs and get a nice amp and head unit!

Try this one, it should come up bigger. As far as using the seat, yes you can still use the seat and the seat won't touch the amp. But If you have someone a little larger than normal in the back they might push the seat into the sub. It shouldn't mess it up due to the wieght being distributed mostly to the box & the outer part of the speaker. Depending on the gender of the passenger (girl) they will enjoy the ride.

I am looking into getting that box soon. My girlfriend knew I wanted a subwoofer for my truck so for x mas she got me an Alpine 12" type R, I am not able to fit that in my truck, but the idea she had was great. So I have to take it back and get 2 10's

I have a similar box. I found it on ebay with 2 MTX 10's, somewhere around $250. It sounds great. I brought it to circut city and had them install the deck, amp and alarm. They mounted the amp underthe drivers seat. I'm very happy with the whole system.

Looks great Remmy. I ordered my subs, amp and box yesterday cant wait till they get here. Did you have to drill a whole through the firewall to run the power from the battery?

For my amp i never drilled a hole in the fire wall i found it too much of a pain in the a$$ to do that so i just cut a little hole in the rubber piece thats in there so then i could run my power wire through that. then i ran all the power cords along the driver side under the carpet to the rear seats and ran the rca cables down the passenger side to the rear seat. I sure need to get one of those boxes i just have mine in a sub box you would through in the trunk of the car sitting on the floor over the cup holders. for now its a good spot but when i get people in my truck i got to take it out.
