F**K DEALERSHIPS!!!
I let the dealer just change the oil in my 05 hemi. I do all my own oil changes, usually. They only have 2 things to tighten...the filter and the drain plug. I noticed an oil leak that afternoon under the truck. They left the PAN PLUG LOOSE !! I called the and told them, they didn`t seem to care. I never heard anything from a manager, anyone. I called back 2 days later and asked the manager about it, he said he thought he heard "something" about it.
People make mistakes, I know that. I am a professional diesel tech myself, but when you screw something up...you OWN UP TO IT !! Bottom line, my dealer thinks I`g gonna buy a 5th new ride there, he`stupid.

The sign saying they can not be held responsible is the oldest trick in the book. That is only to deter people from pressing the fact.
That is the same as if you own land and have it "Posted No Trespassing" that you are not liable if someone gets hurt on your land.
The truth is. EVERYONE is liable for anything that happens on their land. It is your responsibility to keep your property safe and anything that is on it that you allow to be left there. They have insurance to cover this but they will not file a claim unless forced and this is the same reason people keep insurance on land.
If a kid was so jump you fence and drown in your pool it is your fault because you did not prevent them from getting in there. Ask any insurance company and they will tell you the same.
They will pay to fix your truck if you do the right stuff and that will require you getting a Lawyer. You will need to file a case and have your Lawyer send the land/dealership owner papers and then they will file a claim.
I would also file a claim for reimbursement for legal fees.
The reason they are liable is. You did not sign a waver of liability in front of a notary public. So it is not a legal binding document.
MOPARMAN57L is correct don't bring it up, just sue them. You will win and if you get a good Lawyer they will get you repaid for your lost time "Punitive Damages".
That’s my opinion. You may want to have a sit down with the dealer owner also. The owner will know what liability they have. They will act sooner then a manager.
first off dealing with the dealer to fix all the damage was a mistake. go to the dept of motor veichle and file a complaint with them first. they will send over an dmv inspector to asses the damage done and file paper work against the dealership. these people work for you, thats why we pay taxes. the bbb wont do crap.my sister had a complaint about a local hole in the walldealership and went to the dmv, come to find out there licensce was suspended and the dmv closed up shop. being calm also is a good thing to do. people who scream and yell just get pushed farther back on the list.
back your truck into one of there new trucks, then tell them your not liable because
you are just driving thru and didnt get any work done
see how the f**kers like that
I to had my ram damaged at a local dealership I told them to get it fixed and I would be back in 3-4 days
well they tried to pull the **** on me they did you needless to say I wasnt very cooperative or nice
imagine that, but after I used some nasty words and the sherriff showed up the truck was fixed like new after a weeks time also you should have seen the faces of other customers in the waiting area
when I went ballistic even with the sherriff standing there even helooked like he was going to **** himself I will never go back there, pissed me right off to no end but after I made the police report they were more than happy to talk
so yeah I know how you feel call the cops and make a report see how they act then
good luck

think its any good still if it happened like last wednesday? Oyyea, and I got my keyfob fixed today too since that got broke (however it did its beyond me), guy said the remote was shot so idk maybe it coincidentally died while it was in for service. Anyways, $50 later and mmmm I got my remote start back haha. Its definantly worth the fifty bucks in this weather. If I do get any kind of satisfaction from the dealership ill try to throw that on top of all the damage.
wow... i have a worse story for you man... this is awesome compared to mine...
my dad has a 10 wheeler dump truck. about 7 weeks ago, a drunk driver hit it in the middle of the night and totalled the whole left side. his passenger door was in my dads dump box. lol. yeah, he survived. he had no insurance. we have full insurance. it took them 3 weeks to get an appraisal. and another 2 weeks to release the truck in our name so we can get it out of the "storage" area also known as the salvage yard. so ill do this math for you real quick on how much money we lost since its my dads job...
$85/hr x 8hrs. = $680
$680 x 5 days = $3400
$3400 x 7 weeks = $23,800
$23,800 is how much money we lost in the last 7 weeks... it is ridiculous! the insurance companyhad possesion of our truck for more than half the time. thank god we are getting it back tuesday/wednesday so he can start working again.
now, the drunk didnt have insurance on "his dads new car." hes poor. my mom drove by his place to see where he lives (2 minutes from our house) he aint got no money or car anymore. there nothing to sue him for. so now we're still talking to our attorney. wow, i hope this all works out well.
hey, i feel your pain man. getting your pride and joy f**ked up. dang man. i had a 2005 Honda CRV which went to my mom, the 2nd week i had it some a$$hole hit it in the parking lot at the mall and messed up the back doing $300 worth of damage and my story up there^^^. good luck!
i have a great dealership here in SD. no prblems with them, very courteus and know how to handle business.
