wow how lame...i have a r/c hemi 4x2 and his truck was a HD Ford ext. cab like all of them i've ever seen. and no bignelly07 i did not like get out, sign "race day" papers with the guy and have it all set up to race, it was as simple as pulling up to a light and the light changed to green, we both took off and i ended up ahead...i seriously doubt that these ford f-150 harley editions come with a deisel engine, im assuming it's a gas engine with a supercharger unless he has a CAI that whines like a bitch...maybe it was traction and he should have beat me, i dont know, all i know is that after all was said and done i came out ahead and it made me feel good...so you can act like know it alls all you want and "call bs" and say you've seen eco. cars beat sports cars all day long, I was simply making a post to state the outcome of a race...im not saying my hemi with 3 little mods will beat a lightning or blah blah blah, i was simply making a "feel-good" post...you don't need to complicate simple posts

 

judging by the numbers posted on the Harley truck,I can see a r/c Hemi running with it.Especially if its a quad or extended cab! Good Job!! Chalk up another kill and feel good about it!

 

I think if he lost traction and spun out you would of noticed that , anyway good job .The HD is gas engine.

 

I for one was not trying to take away your ray of sunshine as you basked in the light of victory. I am just saying that from what you posted, there is no doubt you won, but since none of us were there, all we can do is speculate. Maybe you got a strong running Hemi, after all, the 2WD models are a lot faster than the 4x4's, and I know how quick mine is. You say you heard a whine, which means blower, as a diesel makes a whoosh or a whirrr sound, not a high pitched whine.

But instead of sitting here typing what if's, well maybe's, and such, I will say "good win!"

Even back in 2003, the ram was still a quick SOB. The model tested was a standard cab, hemi-equipped, 3.92 geared model.

 

They did make a diesel HD F150 as well. Not in the 15 body style but they did make one as to clear up any confusion as if there is a diesel HD truck. Also, HP specs are over rated. Look at a stock lightning, 380 HP but will hang with SRT10's all day. This thread reminds me of the one that happened a few weeks ago where some kid said he beat a lightning and I told him to get a video and he said ok but never delivered.

 

i cant get a video...it was a race between lights...anyhow i think those numbers are not too good for a truck that is superchrged...and someone earlier said that the HD ford was the exact same as a lightning just with an extended cab...obviously that is incorrect...i dont even know why the word "lightning" even came about...

 

me neither, as the lightning is ford's best attempt at a fast pickup and it was still a turd! If you ask me, before the SRT/10, the fastest pickup ever made was GMC's Syclone. Hands down, the absolute fastest stock pickup from the factory.

And another thing, this whole street racing topic seems to be taking a turn on the edge of favortism. I have a dodge, nothing can beat it. When, you beat a ford, GREAT! But some of the members need to realize that the next one you may not be so lucky against.

I'm just going to say good job. The HD's are hideous in my opinion.

 

Hahahahahaha Tamuccmike you are not too bright. The HDF150 has the same motor, transmission and supercharger as the Lightning. HP numbers don't mean **** either, those trucks are way underrated. Also, Bignelly, by saying the Lightning is a complete turd just shows you either ar eblind by brand favoritism or aren't too knowledgeable about the lighning. I may believe the story if you had a few more mods such as headers or superchips but for now I don't think your truck could beat a Harley F150.
