Don't hold me to this, but I believe you can use 2500 shocks which I believe are two inches longer.

The shop is wrong on the needing to replace with the same size. You need 2'' longer shocks, the easiest way is to swap out with 2500 shocks. I have heard that they make 2'' longer 1500 shocks but I've never been able to find them online. Bilstein, Rancho, Monroe (However I've read of a lot of early failures), is what most people go with. I've even heard really good things of Edelbrock shocks.

Don't ever set foot in that shop, cause they are CLUELESS!!!

4 Wheel Parts has a cross reference for shocks, you tell 'em what you drive and how much lift it on it and they will match up closest fitting shock in the brand you want. It's not rocket science! The shock doesn't have to be EXACTLY two inches longer, there is travel in a shock. Just needs to be longer than stock but not too long that it tops out either.

I know for a fact the Pro Comp ES3000 part #319510 is a perfect fit for a 3rd Gen with 2-2.5" of lift in the front. Put one on an '05 I cranked the t-bars up for the owner myself...

OK, I also just texted a hunting buddy with a leveled '07 and he used Bilstein 5100 part #
BE5-6140-T5 for the front, perfect fit...

I did some research a long time ago found some on Summit Racing

Try this link. If it doesnt work then choose your year, truck, model, 4wd, shocks and keep narrowing it down until you find what you are looking for

I have the same shocks that Hammer is talking about, when I bought my leveling kit it came with the new shocks.

Edit: http://store.fatbobsgarage.com/dodge...010-p1740.aspx this is what I got, I know you can just order the shocks too
