Official MPG 4th Gen Thread
New guy here but my truck is my daily driver and the fastest I get is 50 mph and the slowest being 35. I have the Hemi and with this driving I get 15.3 pretty much each tank. I recently made two round trips from AL to VA totalling 3000 miles. Averaging around 75 mph I got 17-20 depending on how flat the section of road was.
We took a trip 2 weeks ago about 3 hours from us. When I got there I filled up and we got 22 mpg (canadian) mixed driving. Filled up tonight and was going about 95 KPH and the computer told me I was getting 26 mpg. I hope thats right! I'll take it.

Just trying to see the best mpg I could get in city, I spent the past two days watching the read out. I stayed at the speed limits, accelerated nice and steady and basically being smooth as possible.
After day 1 it was at 16 mpg, this is after about 30 miles. Today I added another 40 miles and ended up at 17.6 mpg...even topped 18 a few times. This is far from my normal driving style but wow am I impressed with the mileage obtained.

Had the 09 Hemi CC 4x4 for over a month now. Filled up last night. Got 12.9 mpg, 95% city driving. Most trips are less than 5 miles, drop off/pick up kids from school and running errands. Not a lot of traffic, just stop and go from stop signs and traffic lights. Been averaging slightly under 13.5 mpg with our normal routine. Calcs by hand miles/gallons in. EVIC is 1 to 1.5 mpg higher everytime. Currently have 3300 miles on odo. Taking it in this week for it's 1st oil change.
I got back from a trip last wek from Cedar Rapids, Ia to Duluth...Average was 18.5 up there interstate speeds of 75. Then filled up and headed to Thunder Bay. From Duluth to Thunder Bay I was averaging 21.5, not bad. That tank alone got 450 miles on it and still had 1/4 tank left when I went to fill. The rest of the trip home was 18-19mpg from Duluth back to Ia. 7000 miles on the truck now...My Dakota would have never seem that kind of milage.

Once again, the computer reads high as it does for most. In this case 1 MPG and I ran the tank to the point of needing 24 gallons. Maybe it would be closer if I ran it 25 gallons? I will give that a try another time. Driving habbits on this tank, all accelleration under 3K RPM with the exception of a couple WOT.
Fast forward to now....
Reset the MPG at oil change time and filled up.

Most of my driving is two miles out to the farm and then alot of stop and go when I'm out checking fields so I think i'm doing pretty good for such short trips
