It's stuck on a mini dv tape in my video camera, and I have to figure out how the hell to get it onto the computer so I can post it. It's not as simple as transferring still photos. I think I have to go buy a cable, but whether I buy a audio/video cable or a digital video cable depends on which type of input my video card can accept. Obviously, I'd prefer a digital transfer. I have not had a chance to really tackle this yet-I work fairly long hours at a pull-a-part junkyard.

By the way, I'd have to say that anyone who can only get a 15.2 out of a quad or crew cab '09 dodge is either driving one with 3.55's or 3.21's or doesn't know what they're doing. Don't put much stock in what the "experts" at magazines can do. After all, they're the geniuses that only managed a 14.4 out of an r/t.

Likewise socal, I bet the magazines didn't say some guys with stock tundras would be getting 14.0's or even quicker out of tundras. Magazine racing will often lead you astray. I don't mean this to be ugly, I'm just pointing out that relying on and quoting magazine figures is almost (not quite) useless.
I thought it was you but could not find that other post.

I agree with you.

I also think once people get these to the track we will see some better times. The magazine guys take them to the track once and are ready to test another vehicle.

I am not saying we will beat the Tundra's, nor do I really care, but give the Ram a chance.

Based on some initial "county" runs, high 13's are realistic with solid traction.

yeah i hear ya on the magazine thing. Your really the only guy ive heard of thats gone to the track. Your right about the tundra being a lot faster than what the mags say, so I guess the same could be true for the ram. There is just so few of the new rams out right now in Cali. Ive only seen 3. One in Vegas in a parking lot and 2 on the freeway that I assume are the 4.7 or V6 because they didnt have a HEMI bage.

Please dont think that Im a hater, I think a little competition is a good thing. Ive yet to run into any 6.2 chevys, and the only ones that like to play are the F150's which is a waste of gas.

Mine came with a Hemi badge on one side and no badge on the other. Some people also take them off to have a stealthier look.

I would not look for a badge.

Bottom line for me is that it is fun to just go out and shot guys in "fast" cars. I love when I pull up to a punk in a rice rocket or "beafed" up pos and just shot them in the truck and are you ready, my minivan! Just cause these guys don't expect it.

The mustang was pre-'05 like an '03 or '04. . .

I had a Neon SRT-4 that was debadged and dewinged. I also had a side exit exhaust and the rear bumper was rolled up to hide the dual exhaust cutouts. There is no way in hell a stock Tundra or Ram in any form would beat me. I'd guess I was running at least a 13.5 quarter. Stock they run 13.9's.

All I am saying is to be carefull saying all rice rockets, because some off those POS's can run low 13's and 12's, included pink Honda hatchbacks!

Buy American? Is that even an intelligent answer? Last i checked our motor is made in Mexico, no telling what else on our truck is made elsewhere. If our economy didnt suck so bad Toyota would have plants in America right now...

Depends. Is it a single or quad, big difference in the two. Also 4wd, gears? You're quad hemi will not outrun a RCSB Tundra, sorry man but it's not gonna happen. Only way you might stand a chance is in a RCSB Hemi with 3.92's but i still can't guarantee that with how these trucks are programmed to shift. Just like socali said, when aftermarket kicks in then ya, you should be able to, but stock is a no go.

I think he means racing rice rocket POS' not all rice rockets are POS'. Any tard can pull up to your SRT and hear the difference, much less hear the difference in any modded out ricer, for the most part.

-plus who cares how fast it was, you just admitted you used to drive a neon! and you like pink Honda hatchbacks

Most STONE STOCK srt-4's do not run in the 13's. I've seen quite a few, and most don't quite make it. I used to have one-it was an '04. Hurricane Ivan totaled it out with an oak tree. That tree also totaled out my '69 chrysler 300 and my (now ex) wife's '99 acura tl. I took it to the track a number of times, and I once got a 13.99 at 99 out of it. The rest of the passes were in the 14's.

It's harder to run a good number in a manual-there are too many ways to **** it up. Bog, spin, miss a gear, etc. I can say with certainty that my srt-4 and my '09 ram were for all practical purposes dead even in the 1/4 mile. They were run at the same track, at about the same time of the year. The average pass for each vehicle was within a tenth or two of each other.

Please note, I'm not using the fact that I only broke into the 13's with a stock srt-4 to prove that it's hard to do...I'm using the fact that I've seen plenty of other people run them and not do it, or only do it after some modifications. Like my truck is now, when I say it was stock, I mean you could have had a team of engineers that designed the car go over it and they wouldn't have found the slightest deviation from stock. A lot of "stock" cars aren't quite.
