Its a very "base" tone that resonates through the cab at highway speeds, it will drive you crazy on long drives. Take your muffler off sometime.

 

I am thinking of putting the 24 on my 09 Ram sport, the dealer said i will get poor fuel economy and my check engine light will come on. They said warranty coverage would be voided if traced back to muffler. Have you experienced any issues, particularly the fuel economy, thnx dan.

 

I own an 09 ram sport and want to install the 24m, dealer said economy would tank and engine light would probably come on, any opinions?

 

No check engine light has come on with mine, have about 900 miles on the mufflex muffler and the fuel economy has not changed if any thing it has increased by one or two miles per gallon.

 

I have the 24" also. No lights here, same fuel mileage as before.

 

The dealer is full of crap.

Did you keep your resonators on? I installed a Magnaflow XL 24 inch duals no resonators and for me its on the LOUD side.Could not imagine using a 14 or 18 inch.Mine has been on over two thousand miles.No difference in power or fuel mileage.Only warranty it voids is on THAT part of the exhaust system.Now add a PROGRAMMER and tear up a engine.trans/diff or a PCM and its down the tubes with warranty.
