Havn't heard anything back from them since I requested clarification of the offer that they made on 10/29/2009.

c-pelton, that quote had been brought up before - unfortunately that site does not belong to BakFlip, just some distributor.

This is Bak's site http://www.bakliner.com/

Default Bakflip

I purchased my Dodge Ram in july 09. A few months ago I decided to go with a Bakflip. I was waiting until I went to the states to buy one cheap. I found this thread today and tried to contact them through there website. The site wouldnt work so I phoned!

I got some idiot on the line. When I asked about this warranty situation he told me that they had proof that your truck was hit by baseball sized hail and that they would not warranty an act of god.

When my truck was 1.5 weeks old I was in a hail storm that had marble sized hail My truck took a Sh*t kicking and had $2100 dollars worth of hail damage and a lot to the hood!

I told the idiot from bakflip that if you had in fact been in baseball sized hail your truck would have been written off and then you would have easily paid your $500.00 deductible and got your new truck with a new backflip.

But then i said feel free to offer the poor warranty and support and get decreased sales because of it.

This is when he turned into a total moron. He told me that actually sales were up 60% and that things have never been better and really started to argue the issue with me.

At that point I told him that now it wasnt the quality of product that was going to stop me from buying from them. It was his attitude and the fact that he would not listen to me at all that would stop me from ever purchasing from their company!

If sales were up 60% they could easily absorb the cost of replacing or fixing one bakflip. But then you never asked for that. You asked for directions on how to fix it. Something that you still have not received.

Is it bakflip? or baksh*t?

gl to you!

I may get the peragon now.

any one have comments on this one?

I havn't heard anything more from them.

Baseball sized hail, lol. Pretty sure that would have left a dent in my truck or broken some glass. Still no dents in my truck, just the BakFlip.

Someone should add up the lost sales from this thread alone. You can add me to that list. I was stuck deciding between the BK and the Mopar cover, and was set to order from BK this weekend. Oh well, looks like I have to go deal with the Dodge dealer.

One would think, in this day and age of instant feedback and user communities, that companies would learn you only really succeed by taking care of your customers.

WAS considering a bakflip...now I'm looking at the TruXedo TonneauTrax. Before it was between the two, now it's just the Truxedo. Although I have to check out the Extangs too now if they're that good...still a few weeks left to decide .

yep, mark me up as another that would have ordered the bakflip, but just put the order in for the mopar version. Truck should be coming this week or next, and the mopar version is going to be warrantied for 3 years, 36,000 miles, no questions asked. Gotta love warranties and companies that stand behind them.

Default Act of god

I'm gonna just throw this out there but BakFlip stated an ACT OF GOD. With all the issues we are having in the USA now we are blaming GOD for product defects. Seriously GOD........ HELLO hail is caused by weather idiots not GOD. Maybe the BAD KARMA they will probably get fom all of this, you could possibly blame that on GOD or being smacked by a truck say a Dodge for instance, that could be an ACT OF GOD. The fact that their **** poor customer service will be their down fall, well that goes back to the KARMA thing I guess. What if you don't believe in GOD and say your athiest so what would have caused the hail storm or if your Muslim is it Allahs' fault.

Large parts of Americans dont want GOD to be part of anything unless it benifits them. I wouldn't purchase or allow anyone I know to purchase anything from these communists. What a HORRIBLE company.

Has anyone looked at a Jack Rabbit retactable cover by Pace-Edwards?
Had one for my F250 and loved it. When I do get a cover it will be
