And you are welcome HEMI5150, it seems we both paid a little more than most although mine was half the truck, lol!. But I'm still happy with my purchase, like they say...beauty is in the eyes of the beholder! Keep the faith bro!

third, i would never comment on anyones purchase, other than "nice truck" regardless of weather i agreed with deal, color, engine or brand. this is to say, if you paid sticker price, are happy with the deal, then for you it is a good deal.

for others, some reasons for paying sticker, buyer wants that vehicle. dealer may be the only one around with in a lengthy distance. dealer won't be able to get that paticular combo for a few months ect.

hemi510 accept my apology if i came across in an offensive way.
Huntergreen,
dam straight brother...!!!, apology surely accepted..!!!!!!!

Yeah i paid alot for my truck, but thats the way it goes when you buy a "special ordered" brand new one fresh out of the factory just as soon as they are available to us. Yeah i coulda waited a year and bought a end of year clearenced model a ton cheaper, but when i see a toy thats making my mouth water, i tend to bite the bullet and just go for it no matter what it costs me. Am i sorry for payin that much for it, hell no...! I knew what i was doing when i paid the fat price, and i`m not bitchin about it either.(some people do though, especially when they have problems with them) I like the truck or i wouldnt have paid what i did. Ther are a couple things i dont like about it, but the good outweighs the bad. Could dodge have done better with the MDS system, probably, but it would have cost us even more for our trucks. Hopefully they will get it figured out and make the next ones better. The MDS issue is not that big of deal to me...i just downshift it into 5th around town, (+/-5th will disable the MDS)and when i hit the open road, shift it back into OD. Some people are less tolerant about small things like MDS and droaning issues than others. Its a goddam truck for christ sakes, not a fuggin corvette. Yeah trucks are pricey, yeah they have issues, show me one that dosent. Anyhow dude, we`re all good here. Hope you are too.

I`m not embarassed at all for what i paid. (some have even paid more than me) Could i have gotten it cheaper...??? YES, but i didnt want to wait until the end of the year to buy leftovers. (leftovers are like hookers, the meat has been picked thru) And another thing, you wont ever get $10k knocked off the price from a special ordered one either. I special ordered my truck the way i wanted it... paid the fat price and i`m good with that, cause thats the truck i wanted.

End of year Leftovers = settling for second best (not an option for me, dealers never have the exact truck i want)
Special Ordered = Has every option i want, because i order it that way. I ordered my "QC Hemi 4x4 sport" truck with EVERY single option available except a sunroof (i hate sunroofs) So with sayin that, it came to me with alot cheaper price tag than a laramie. Laramie has way to much chrome for me, and i didnt want to deal with another 2010 with rotting chrome bumbers again. The laramie was $5,000 more for what i paid for the fully loaded sport i have, and thers tons of high priced laramie`s out there that cost more to their owners than what i paid.

So Hounddog,
i`ve never seen or heard you ever mention what "your" truck is, and what it has for options.
Maybe thats why you got a good deal and only paid dirt for yours compared to everyone else that paid 50k.
Why dont you list on here exactly what you own and let everyone else decide if we think your deal is so great.
Be honest too...! Post some pics of the inside and out. How bout a picture of your window sticker. Does it have the HEMI...?

Anyhow,
I think we`ve ALL played up enough hi-jacking, so i`m done debateing and bitchin bro, thats not what this forum is for. (at least not in this particular post)
Take`r kool and i hope everything works out for you man

Not to play devils adovate or stir the pot, but the "Its a truck afterall" statement I have to contest. Having come from a Tundra, because I wanted to give America a chance, a truck CAN be a smooth riding non-sterotypical truck ride. The Tundra 5.8 tranny was smooth as glass and did not really ride like a truck at all. The difference between the Tundra this Dodge is unbelievable. I also drove a friends new Chevy and it is alos WAY smoother than this Dodge.

I think manufacturers like it when we go with the "Hey y'all, its a truck" sentiment - it hides a multitude of design sins on their part.

And yes, I wish I had my Toyota back. I had driven someones 2007 Dodge and it also drove great. Got me thinking about a Dodge, and having always felt a little guilty about buying an American truck I went for it. I just chose the wrong year I guess.

And I, for the sake of principle, argued back and forth with Chrysler trying to get a buy back - even though I knew they didnt do that anymore. I wasnt going to just let them keep denying there was an isuse and that everyone but me was happy with the MDS (even though my service techs loathe MDS and spoke quite freely that it was a mistake).

Anyway, the link below is all I got from Chrysler in the end - a couple courtesy payments. Note the very careful strong language about releasing them of any indemnity. They know there is an issue, but like any large business they are not going to do anything unless forced to. But they sure do not like my rallying people, that was quite clear in my discussions with them.

Tundra does not drive better than the Ram. Does Tundra have a fuel saver mode in there trucks? Call me crazy but I like to have the option in my truck to..............oh.........stop.

Almost forgot.... The Tundra V-8 is a 5.7 and the reason the chevy prob rode better is because it it so underpowered tha it can't get out of its own way. I researched theSierra and Silverado for 3 months before I finally came to the realization that the new Chevy trucks look and ride re same as the one I had back in 2003. Ford and Ram are the only two options for trucks right now

My truck feels solid and it rides firm (including trailering 5 to 7k lbs), just the way I like it. My new Chevys felt firm new but quickly got spongy after a few months. I've had this one almost two years now and it still feels the same as the day I bought it on 3/3/09.
