I did send the check they gave me to the loan. They offered me a warranty at first but I already had one. Problem with driving the **** out of it is that with each issue come sthe "Make appt, find time to go in, get loaner" pain. They got you over a barrel no matter how it pans out.

I hope its a dodge, but if its like this again, it wont be a dodge.

Dodge people, if you`re reading or listening....
we`ve been loyal to you, but you havent been as loyal to all of us.
Fix your engineering issues, or continue to loose very loyal customers.

Don't give up. Keep filing cliams , calling and sharing your experiences.

IThey wont do much as they, technically from a business perspective, dont care about the year models affected. They will focus on the next versions and do nothing (too costly) for those already out there and unhappy. We are water under their bridge - just data points on an an accounting spreadsheet.

Default Hey - stop hijacking my thread ;^)

This isnt about economics and taxes. Its about my MDS droan. Now I have an MDS droan AND a differenital whine that Dodge said isnt right on first inspect but once they figured it wasnt fixable they reverted to its "As Per Design" for both problems. Now As Per Design would mean, by definition, that all trucks would have the condition, have it from Day 1, and all vehicles would have it to the same degree. Both my MDS and and differential whine were Not present from day 1, developed later, and others dont have it at all, and others that do have it not to the same degree as mine. Really? As per design?

The line I'm seeing a lot of dealerships use is "within factory spec" for a lot of sh*t that ain't right. Frustrating...

Yea, it really bothers me that they can hide under that "As per design" stance. If that were these case we would all have it, have it from day 1, and all to the same degree. Just doesnt make sense and, as a little man in the world, take offense to them handling it like this. So of course I have challenged them on every front. And a recent BBB complaint letter I got makes it pretty clear they consider it Normal and will only help if there are complete Failures. When I raise the fact that my issues were not present during test drives, didnt begin until about 3K in, not all owners have the problem, and those that do suffer it to different degrees, tells me its not As Per Design by definition. Anyway, see there response letter here:

A G,
Have you consulted a consumer type lawyer who specializes in vehicles? It may be the ony way now for you to get satisfication from Dodge.

I apologize if for not reading this in full. If you want money back, get a lawyer.

While I would like a buy back, Im not expecting it. I just am very bothered by the WAY they handle it and complete disregard for facts and customer concerns. I cant forget the service rep saying its "as per design." I said so they all do it? They said "Yes". Service manager agreed, they dont all do it. Serve Rep/Dodge just keep uttering "normal, as per design." Cant afford a lawyer, just not going to fold and go down easily. One of the managers told me they see this all the time but usually the customer just gives up and goes away. They are trained in this to stall and deny, deny, deny.
