Nitto Trail Grappler or Goodyear Duratrac
I just bought some Cooper AT3 275 65 20's and I love them. Super quiet on the highway, good in the rain. Havent had a chance to get them off road yet but with deer season right around the corner its only a matter of time. Nice aggressive looking tire but not over the top. Paid 300 per tire installed and I think they have a 55000 mile warranty. Coopers web page has a lot of info on these tires.
Them suckers are getting great reviews all over the place. I read somewhere that they are the first Cooper branded tire developed solely by the Mickey Thompson/Dick Cepek engineers who came over when Cooper bought them out. That's some good off-road heritage them tires got in 'em...
BTW, anybody take a good look at the new Mickey Thompson Baja STZ they just came out with? Looks an AWFUL lot like a Nitto Terra Grappler to me! You know what they say about imitation, don't ya???
This trend toward bigger and bigger wheels just amazes me, and not just Dodge! 20s on a 4x4 are about as useful as giving Rosie O'Donnell a box of condoms unless you are gonna WAY overlift an IFS truck and slap 37s or larger on it.
I belong to a hunting club with about 65 members, almost all of who have a lifted pickup and we laugh our collective a$$es off when a prospective member drives 4x4 with 20s (OR LARGER) looking to join. We know that summbiotch is gonna get towed out the swamps his first time in.
There is just NO sidewall for flex or floatation and you can forget airing down!
I don't blame most guys who buy 'em, cause it's all they put on the lots anymore, but the guys who buy these big honkin' wheels just to OVERPAY for tires in 20" are nuts in my opinion, unless they have a 2WD or plan on mall hopping that 4x4. Hell my stock 20s lasted THREE DAYS before I replaced them with 17's and if they'da cleared the calipers, I'da gone smaller.
My staple when I was a huntin/fishin/off-roading fool in the 80s and 90s were 33s on 15s on my Jeeps and 35s on 15s on my trucks. Although I guess what they say is true though, 90% of 4x4s sold today will never see off-road, so I guess for 90% of the people it don't matter. They are just gonna have to swell up and pay twice as much for their wheels and tires.
I'll bet y'all I've bought at least five sets of 15" Cragar Soft 8 wheels in my life and ain't ever paid more'n $45 a wheel, NIB...
OK, rant over...

Did some 4th gen trucks come with a smaller brake package with 20" wheels stock?
Is your truck a 3rd gen or 4th? Just going by the photo... My 4th gen came with 20" and after your coment I went out and checked, I have 13" rotors and the calipers have about 3/4" clearance to the inside of the wheel, no way I could go smaller....

I personally know someone with a 4th Gen 4x4 who has 18s, cause I installed his lift. So I would assume 17s would go. I think the RCs still come with 17s or at least did in '09...
Eeven if you put 295/60 R20 it will rub on the upper control arm, you need spacers than and bigger lugs because you dont want to leave them without enough tread.if you run tirres bigger than 33 inch diameter, you need to raise to front end or atleast level it up with the rear either with level kit or you can crank the torzion bars, and that you need aligment because the ride height will be changed.
so are you willing to spend all those money and do all those modification to the truck and dont forget liftet truck with big tires spends more fuel for a single look of a big tires. i was in the same position, what do i need, what should i do,how to do that, and i after all calculations i end it up with Nitto Terra Grappler 275/60 R20 good looking tire, agressive look, looks bigger that the goodyear wranglers, and actualy its half inch taller, and looks great. i just put Load Levelers Shocks in the rear, Monroe Senza Trac and they raise the rear end for 1/4 to 1/2 inch and truck now does not sink the you ad some weight or tow trailer.

my truck is 2005. when i went to the tire dealer and we measure everything and it will rub the upper ball joint , Control Arm however you wanna call it. you need than 1/4 inch spacers at least or another rims with an offset that will pull out the tire a little out. you cannot mount them on a stock rim. the stock tire is however 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch close to the ball joint there. the difference between 275 and 295 its 1 inch and means half on one and half on the other side. it will be either extra close or it will rub depends if the have big letter saying TRAIL Grapplers. and money wize, i got my 275/60R20 terra Grapplers for 201.00 each brand new from a dealer.
