So after a great deal of searching, I finally ordered my RECON 264169RBK LED tail lights ($307 shipped, from SFX Performance). Best price I could find. I also ordered the
Recon 264202WH LED back-up light Bulbs ($39.95 shipped) and the Recon 264112BK LED 3rd Brake light ($93.63 shipped) both of those from Amazon. Also the best price considering taxes and shipping... Grand Total = $440.58.

We'll see how long it takes to receive them and how the install goes... Thanks again to everyone for the input/feedback.
The headlights and bed lights are also from recon, I also bought the 360 degree led switchback lights for the parking lights.

As for your taillights and 3rd break light install it's a simple plug and play, will take you 30 min

Thanks - I'd not seen the RECON bed lights or the head lights advertised anywhere...nor had I ever heard of the 360° LEDs - are these the 360°?

Is the difference significant? Did you replace the side mirror bulbs as well?

What power did you wire the bed lights into?

Thanks again.

The headlights and bed lights are on gorecon.com. They also have all kinds of led bulbs. Those are the 360 LED shown in the picture, they light up white for the parking lights and when you use the turn signal they flash up orange just like in the video i posted earlier, they are very bright yes and i like them very much. My mirrors are stock as they are non servicable led. As for the bed lights i powered them with the cargo light, i found a wire on the driver side i believe that ran through the rear floor pillar (That piece of plastic you would step on i guess i could say when entering the truck in the rear seat, i took it apart and there's some wires running through there, i believe the cargo light wire was brown) spliced it there then ran the wire under the carpet and through an existing hole on the floor (floor compartment under the rear seat) and out the back under the truck for the bed lights. Sounds complicated but i could take some pictures and explain better if needed.

Thanks for the info... very informative. So my orders have arrived. SFX Performance was fine to deal with, everything arrived well packed and undamaged. Perhaps this weekend I'll install the tail and 3rd brake lights.

I also ordered some LEDs for the license plate and some 360 DUAL colored 3157 LEDs for the turn signals. They've yet to arrive. Got those from a place called "idjmtoy.com". They have a crazy-goofy website, hope their order processing and shipping is better than their website design. They have some interesting stuff, IMO.

Still debating on the bedlights. We'll see how the others work and then decide...

Plan to post some before and after images... thanks again all.

And as promised:

All in all very pleased with the RECON products, look, fit, and function. However, I still don't understand their outrageous pricing... still waiting for the 360 Dual LEDs, and contemplating the BED LIGHTS. Stumbled across this set-up:

From 4z products. Anyone used, seen them?

I wish I would of chimed in on this one...I got the EXACT same lights as you did, all for about 300 bucks (200 for tails, 100 for the 3rd)...I got the exact same tail lights as you off ebay, which they are sonars, came packaged exactly as your recons did...I also ordered the Recon 3rd off ebay as well for 98 bucks...btw, if you havent already noticed or fixed it, youll need to be in a resistor on your 3rd brake light to fix the cargo lights from staying on when your truck is running...I also upgraded all my lights to LEDs which look exactly like yours did in that package, all off ebay for about 15 bucks for all of them, Interior, license plate and reverse I just ordered...I wish I could of been quicker and saved ya some $$ but none the less lights look great!!

Yes recon is quite overpriced for some reason, i guess it's because people still buy their stuff all the time, including me, but they usually come out with all the goodies first then not far behind is the stuff on ebay. Live and learn i guess, in the end it's all the same chinese made crap. Recon kind of make it seem like it's all in house made but in reality it just comes from china and they put their name on it, i noticed on the tail lights and headlights they have "Recon" imprinted on the plastic. So who knows what's going on there. All i know is i could of saved a few hundred dollars there.

Well DANG... I must have searched eBay a dozen times, and various keywords, however, I'd never seen the SONAR lights. Oh well, story of my life "a day late and a $ short"...
Thanks for the info.

So as Explorer9950 predicted the 3rd brake light stays on?? Wonder why that is? Anyway - where exactly did you put it, and what size resistor?
Is it the standard 50wat 6ohm, installed parallel to the light? (ie hot lead to ground?)

Thanks in advance.

Mine used to do that but now since i've tapped my led bed lights to my cargo light, my cargo light is no longer dim, but the bed lights are. So i guess i moved the problem from one place to another. I don't mind it though it has a dim light in the bed when the truck is running.
