Default exhaust?

So i want to put a nice rumble on my 09 1500, I dont want it to sound abnoxious and I sometimes take long trips on the interstate so i dont want to be annoyed by it, so any recomendations on a exhaust with a nice low rumble that sounds sexy and if I change my exhaust do i have to change my convererter?? also will i get errors?

I had a Mbrp aluminum duals on my 11 outdoorsman hemi. I got tons of compliments on it. it had no cackle to the exhaust at all. just a low grumble. wasn't obnoxious on the highway except around 45-50 ish mph, when it went into 4 cylinder, sounded like a helicopter. I bought it off amazon for 400$. really easy to install.

I just bought a Thrush muffler from Summit. I didnt get a chance to install it yet but will post on it after I get it in on how it sounds. I do not plan on changing anything but the muffler.

I put on my Thrush and I really like the way it sounds. They have no drone that I could tell and it has a good sound when Im on the gas. Def worth the 30 bucks I spent on it. I got a local shop to put it on for me for 50 bucks, so for about 80 it was worth it to me.

Whatever you decide, go stainless...!!! And have it welded on...!!! Dont use clamps, the clamps never stay tight.
As for brands... 1st choice, Mufflex 2nd MagnaFlow 3rd Thrush (no need for converter changes, no error codes)
Stay away from flowmasters (thers a GOOD reason most people call them SlowMasters)

PS... mufflex comes with the extra pipe already welded onto it, you wont need anything else but a muffler shop to weld in place.
Most all other mufflers (except mufflex) will need extra pipe to install them, because they`re shorter than the stock muffler.

I put a Flowmaster super 44 single in dual out with the mandrel pipes, and it sounds great, better than any I have heard. Loud and deep in town and quiet on the interstate, no drone.

AT3030! Best sounding muffler I have personally heard. I had one on my 2002 ram with the 5.9 and currently have one on my hemi. A good friend of mine put it on his 4.7l ram and it sounds really good too. Beware, its loud (setting off car alarm loud) but it sounds amazing!

Just had my Magnaflow installed today. 2010 ram hemi sport with factory dual exhaust. I had them cut the exhaust behind the cats and run individual pipes to the muffler which is a 2.5" dual in/dual out to get rid of the restrictive y-pipe. From muffler back they hook right back up to the factory pipes.

Definitely has more rumble on idle and low speeds, wide open isn't significantly louder than it was before it doesn't seem. A bit louder at highway speeds but wouldn't say there's a drone anyways. Definitely sounds better, remains to be seen about mpg, etc.
