Most gas stations around here have 10% ethanol in the 89 octane fuel. The ethanol blend puts a hamper on performance and you burn through it a lot faster hence the poorer gas mileage. I just picked up my 12' ram. Looking forward to better gas mileage than my 01' ram which gets 11-12mpg.
I consistantly get 15-16 around town with a "medium" foot, 18-20 Highway at 75-80 mph, 2012 5.7 hemi. 3-4 MPG better than any 5.4 Ford. I'm converted to Dodge, great truck. And by aroung town I mean constant stop and go, I do customer service to customers homes. Watching Ford mpg threads, the "mighty" eco boost doesn't seem to do any better and a little worse towing heavy loads than my Ram.
Depending on what one you purchase they mount in different locations. Mine mounts to a pre drilled whole on the left side of the engine block when you look from the grill. It gets plumbed into the PCV hose line that starts on the right rear of the motor and then runs into the intake tract just behind the throttle body.

I'm pretty sure I could find that but could you post some pics? If this were a Jeep 4.0L I could that with my eyes closed but I'm new to the Hemi.
(Instead of starting a new thread, I'll just ask here) So if you jump from 87 octane to 89, you won't really see any better performance or mpg, but if you make a bigger just to say, maybe, 91 which is common around me, or maybe even 93, you might see a difference?
