Default Ban Ethanol

We need to find a way to ban ethanol. I picked up pure gas and have gained 3 mpg and better throttle response. Ethanol is not better for the environment. Only one station in my area that sells pure gas. Come on lets band together.

Good luck with that.
Want to ban ethanol? Overthrow the entire Goddamned government.

It's the corn manufacturers that are making a killing off this crap.

Our fuel prices would go down if we cut out ethanol production and quit sending our **** over to China for pennies on the dollar.

THANKKKKK YOUUUUUUUUU.... i`ve been trying to get this point across for years...!
I burn pure gas as well... 3 to 4 mpg`s better all day long...!!!! Engine is peppier too...!

Every farmer in the country that grows corn is being paid to grow it by the gov`t.
They will hate you for banning ethanol. I`m all for banning it 100%...!!!!!!!!!!!!
Growing corn for ethanol is also bad on food prices...!
Remove gov`t, you remove the worlds problems.

I know that big brother (government) is behind the entire plan but not sure how to go about getting a petition going. I guess that I can just sit back and let it continue to take place while going to the only pure gas station in my area. Any input?

lol, such haters. Don't like it? Don't use it. Some of us actually like ethanol. I'm not going to waste my time arguing it...people are going to believe what they want. May as well go around and sign petitions banning everything else you don't like, too.

Maybe we wouldn't be having problems if the government would allow us to CHOOSE what to use in our vehicles. You realize that many states are mandating E15 now? That **** is even worse than E10.

Have fun with a destroyed fuel system, broski.

I've run E30 in most everything I've owned for years. Never had a related fuel issue. I've also run E85 on stock fuel systems with no failures or issues (backed up with appropriate ECU tuning, of course). 105oct, <$4/gal, readily available, doesn't stain or leave residue when spilled.....I'll take that over $9/gal race gas any day. Sure it's got a few pitfalls, but I'd never want to go without.

Have fun getting rid of ethanol, but ethanol is what is harming emissions output more than 87 octane. I am very lucky, I can get 91 and 93 octane gasoline with NO ethanol around here.

Get this.

E85 will decrease fuel economy up to (and probably over) 30%, and always makes engines run hotter and harder.

It requires special synthetic oil, and all sorts of e85 rated components.

Now if E85 does that, certainly E15 does that, just not on as big of a basis.

What they don't tell you is that ethanol kills cats fast. Period.

I only run ethanol when I have to, but for the most part I run 87 or 91 and just skip 89, which is what is ethanolized around here.

And I'm glad nolimits you haven't had any trouble with ethanol, and I hope you never do. But the fact is, ethanol just isn't good.

In Iowa they were talking about outlawing gas without ethanol, they haven't got away with it yet.
