Default Low/High Beam & Fogs Question

I have a 2012 Ram 1500. I have installed an LED light bar on the front bumper and its bright as all get out. Very white light. Now that I have that, Id like to find some low/highs/fogs that somewhat look the same. What is my best option? HID? if so, what K rating for all of those? Thanks.

White will be below 6000K. Anything above starts to get a bluish tint. They sell kits pretty much everywhere. Just need to know your bulb size. Personally I'd keep HID's in your fogs only unless you are doing a projector lens. Stock headlight housings are not designed to properly focus HID's and will just scatter light everywhere, blinding oncoming drivers (think ricers that blind you at night). Does not stop people from doing it though. I've read HIR's are a better option for stock housings.

As jkeaton stated the higher the k rating the further away from white you get.

I have used recon lights and bulbs on two trucks now:

Which bulbs did you go with the 4,600 or 5,600 Kelvin? Do you have any pics?

I went with the 5,600 Platinum Blue. They're not as blue as some may think. I bought the 4,600 Diamond White for my last truck and ended up changing them out. They still had more yellow than I wanted.

I do not have pics of everything lit up, and the truck is at the dealer getting remote start installed.

I'll shoot you some this weekend.

Here's a couple examples/chart:

Yeah I was wondering why they advertised the 5,600 k as a blue because typically 6,000 k is more of a white

Not sure.....I am not an expert with cameras myself. Hopefully someone chimes in.

So is it more like the 6000K in the scale you showed above? I just don't want a pure blue color which it seems like how Recon is advertising it as. I am okay with a little hint of blue in the white.

Also, I have the stock projectors that require a 9012 bulb for low beams, any idea if I will have issues using a 9006 bulb in it? I did some research and couldn't find a good answer. It seems like I will not have as much light output but it may still fit.

Yes, mostly bright white w/very little blue.

I'm not sure on the 9012 to 9006. Google threw out some links of folks who have made it work. I read one that states trimming some plastic and they fit.

I'll be honest, I like the color of these lights, but the output is nothing to be impressed with. I put hid's in my fogs on the 3rd Gen, and that complimented the heads well.
