Wondering what the 4th gen Ram's hood are made of? Fiberglass or aluminum? Not steel (magnet test); reason I ask is that today I was out waxing the truck and noticed what appeared to be a "rust" bubble under the paint on a corner of the hood. Examine the area, no perforation, holes, chips or what have you outside nor inside the hood area. Looked at my warranty book, 5yr/100,000 outer panel, well below the 100,000 but being 2019, a year over the 5 year. Anyone else have an issue with the hood such as this?

 

I am new to the Forum, and I am in the same situation with my’15 RAM. I had it Ziebarted, both the paint and undercoating. Now I am seeing little bubbles on the edge of my hood? Ziebart tells me it’s Factory defect, but Dealer Bodyshop wants to charge me. The guy at Ziebart referred me to the RAM Forum. Can anyone help me with a direction to take? Thanks much.
