Have you guys seen the new advertisments on here? Chevy has a new silverado model called XFE. it gets 21 MPG. WOW!!! (sarcastic) that is amazing considering that a regular silverado gets 20!! You definatlly beat dodge on this one!! it comes with a 5.3 that only has 320 hp!! when you put that into context the XFE sounds really stupid when compared to the hemi that gets 20 mpg.
P.S. im talking about EPA estimated mileage

 

ford has one to called the same thing i think... hahah a 2v 4.6l at 260hp!!!!

HEMI will kick their assss... but my dad said i can get 25+mpg at 65mph in my truck if i really tried... i think his foot isn't as heavy as mine...

 

the 4.6 3v packs 300 H/p, Now I'm a ex Ford guy with the opion that the mod motors are the worset engines ford ever made, I'm not going to mention the spark plugs blowing out of the heads on the 5.4, ford fixed the heads on the newer 5,4, but cam phase issues ( dual timming chains ) on the Ford V/8 are a known problem.

On my 04 F-150, the timming chains would go slack after the engine was off, turn on the engine and they would sudenly go tight, I had the whole valve asembly rebuit under warenty, than the whole dam thing happened again.

as For chevy, thier pretty easy to work on, ie change the plugs.. the hemi is a pain in the *** and the champions don't work well with high milage.

Now I like the hemi, but every one has a story abought what ius better, true be told, I'm a convert to Dodge, but thier s some dodge owners who will never buy a Dodge, ever..

 

the ford trucks are called SFE (superior fuel economy) and chevys are XFE for Xtra Fuel Economy http://www.pickuptrucks.com/html/new...announced.html this is a compareson of the 2 trucks plus the chevy hybrid dodge ram and toyota neat stuff check it out

 

still dodge kicks everones *** in everything but towing capacity. but, i would sacrifice 2,000 pounds towing capacity for a way better ride.

Sad thing is that the 5.3 puts about the same hp to the wheels as the hemi (3rd gen hemi's anyway)...a more efficient tranny and electric fans stock. And that's what counts..

 

o well my 4.7 six speed has a super efficient tranny... manual FTW. i can spank fords and chebbies all day long.


o and chevy trucks. UGLY.

 

just imagine if it was a hemi :P
