I'm sorry I threw out the service report on the replacement of the TIPM Module.

Case Number K56220668
Vehicle Issue Ambient temperature reading on the EVIS is 10-15 degrees off. There is a active fault of p0071 for Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Performance.
System or Component DTC / Error Message;Group 08 - Electrical;Normal Operating Temperature;Yes - Continuously
Recommendation Recommendation Tech to check the connector at the washer fluid bottle to see if there is washer fluid in that connector, you will need to replace the sensor at the washer fluid bottle. The solvent could be wicking down the wire to the ambient temp sensor ground wire .

My buddy who works for a dealership sent this to me...i was having the same problem. Hope this helps.

theres actually more to it than just what you mentioned, although what you said covers it for the most part. weve already seen worst case scenario at our dealer. chrysler is already on this, and has an RRT scheduled for release early next week at the earliest. anyone who qualifies for this may need to wait for a repair, due to ordering parts and shipping.

also anyone having any sort of electrical issues (major, minor, or intermittent) i suggest keeping the washer reservoir 1/2 full as this is part of the concern. can explian later, dont feel like writing it right now.

I got mine fixed yesterday and the tech said he moved the sensor and turned it the oppisite way so if water leaks it wont run into the connection.

Add another defect to my list. My OAT eventually reads accurately, but takes a good 10 mins initially to find the correct temp.

Any updates on the fix that is coming out? Mine keeps triggering the check engine light, this is getting old.

Thanks.

My dealer says that they are still waiting for the TIP modules to be released by Chrysler. Mopar has to decide if that is the correct (and cheapest) fix.
