Bed cover options
To get this right, I can open the tailgate without opening the Bakflip but I need to open the Bakflip before closing the tailgate? Is that because of a seal or something that might get pinched when you close it? The videos I see online (not Rams) you can open and close the tailgate without touching the Bakflip. I just got a quote of $730 u.s. shipped but unsure if FedEx will charge brokerage fees like UPS. thanks guys.
This is true but the % of people that need a true "locking, secure, hard cover" is very low. I would say 90% of people that buy a cover just want to keep stuff dry or from blowing out and for this the soft covers preform the job at 25% of the cost.
Yup, the seal gets hammered if you try to close the tailgate with the BakFlip shut.
Bring a ladder because you sure and hell ain't opening my locking tailgate.
Where did you get yours OldJeep? Cheapest place I could find is $675 for a G2. Anywhere cheaper? The videos I see online have the guy opening and closing the tailgate without touching the Bakflip, is the difference because of the design of the tailgate of the Dodges? Seems like a minor drawback.
