Any of you undercover owners have any complaints? I had an undercover on my 05 Chevy Z71 and it rubbed the paint off in a couple of spots on the bed. Other than that I had no other problems, after 4 years in the Texas sun and heat the fading was hardly noticeable.

 

I just bought a Access Vanish cover and have been very happy with it. I didn't want to spend $1500 on a hard cover and wanted to be able to use the hole bed without removing a cover so the Roll-up covers were the only way to go for me. I got it at Autoanything for $350 shipped to my door.

 

Had an Access similar to that on the last truck and depending on how I parked, the snow would lay on it and form puddles as it melted. Took it off and replaced with one that had curved bows. Not as pretty but functioned better in my case.

 

I could see that happening as the snow would weigh the cover down and as it melts you would have a puddle. I live in Texas so no chance of snow problems here. lol... It has rained very hard and some water will collect on the cover but it runs off before it can sagg the cover to form a puddle.

I choosed Truxedo LoPro Tonneau, it sits about 1" above the bed rail. What really got me to choose this is the mount bracket. There a clamp style. All I needed to install this was my hands.

 

I am thinking about the Bakflip G2. Here in Canada I got a quote for $1200 installed but I can get them online for about $850 u.s.. Does the Bakflip need to be open to open/close the tailgate? thanks.

 

And all I need to steal something out of the bed of anyone who "choosed" a LoPro is a knife.

 

No, it doesn't need to be open to open the tailgate.

 

You have to open the Bakflip to close the tailgate. You cannot open the Bakflip without opening the tailgate.

You can buy the standard Bakflip for a lot less than $850. I paid less than that for the SUPPOSEDLY Heavy Duty BakFlip HD.
