Default What Fits?

Hi Everyone,
First time pick-up owner, first time dodge owner here!
I was looking around on the site and couldn't seem to find a definitive answer to this question:
I just got a 2009 crew cab, and am now looking into geting a bed liner, a bed cover and nerf bars / step rails. so my biggest question is "what fits"? do the accessories from the 02-08 fit on the 09? I have heard some conflicting reports. some sites claim compatability, some don't
the installer at the dealer says that all the official mopar accessories are new for this year and the old ones don't fit, and the aftermarket ones don't fit right.

i would love to hear different opinions from those of you who may have tried some older accessories on the new truck!

Thanks!
Pete

As far as Bed liner and cover, you'll need to order a 2009 specific cover. the Bed on your crew cab is 5'7". The crew cab was not avail any prior years nor was that size bed.

I'm actually interested in the answer on the nerf bars myself. Id rather not drop $600 for new 2009 specific nerf bars if I can bolt on some for cheaper

<nuts>

thanks for the info, i guess i can stop looking for used stuff for the bed then :-)

as for the nerf bars, the dealer told me that the aftermarket ones would fit, but that the use some rubber grommet system that squeaks or something? he said the new 09 nerf bars use "jail bolts" that are 6 on each side and work "so much better"
(his words not mine)

anyone here with aftermarket bars on an 09?

I would recommend a spray in bedliner like line-x, and for the rest of it I don't have a clue.

i called Rolling Big Power and they make a nice step up bar for the crew cabs...

also you can find bedrugs and bed covers on ebay or autoanything..

spray in liners are universal so any licensed dealer can do that for you...

jl has a stealthbox for crew cabs...

RBP has a bad *** grill for over $1000

t-rex has nice chrome one piece grille for a lot less...(billetanything.com)

and i just found out that ground force has a 2"-4" drop kit (its listed for quads but should fit crews)

And yes, the crew cab bed is all new. Line-x and other spray-in liners are great, but they tend to be a little rough to the touch. I like the softer feel of the drop-in liners, not to mention they can typically found for less.

Thanks guys.
I have been leaning heavily towards the drop in also. anyone have any advice on where to buy them? The dealer has them for what i guess is an OK price....can they be had at any of the chain automotive parts stores? I will probably go this weekend and check but figured i would ask first.
It just kills me that i have seen 3 bed liners on craigslist for $50 but none of them will fit <sigh>

What are they quoting you for the drop in? I got quoted $450 for a spray-in and the bedrug runs just under $400. Trying to figure out which way I want to go myself.
