Yes, that is true. If you want maximum brightness stay between 4300K and 6000K, but don't step up to 55 watt units. Those are annoyingly bright for oncoming cars and don't really project any farther than the 35 watt units. Plus it would be a reason to get pulled over by the Man.

It's a piece of cake once you figure out how to get the light housing out and to put the bottom of the grille tabs back into their slots. It's really easy.

Just remember to put some blue masking tape on the top of your bumper if you have a Sport. This way you won't scratch the paint when you remove and replace the grille.
how do you remove the light housing on a 2009 dodge ram

I noticed the fogs are brighter than the headlight in stock form. Anyone think about upgrading the fogs to hid?

I tell you how to do that at the beginning of the post or read your owner's manual.

If anyone wants to see my install, take a look at my photobucket account. Read the picture descriptions for more info.

ETA: I had some issues with the bulb seals as you'll see. I also had an issue with the plug that attaches to the factory light plug. It wouldn't snap together. So that's why there are so many pictures focusing on that as I was helping the manufacturer out.

I called a place here in my town and they said they never heard of putting cancelers on them, they said something about it needs some sort of harness b/c out the output and power difference, is this the same thing, same concept?

Anyone heard of DDM Tuning http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...=101&parent=85 for HID lights? I bought setup for my CBR1000 and am pretty happy so far. There's a big difference from motorcycle to truck though. Price is a bit cheaper than the sites referenced so far.

As far as I know, any HID kit is illegal if you put it in a halogen housing.

They are for off road use only.
