Well I can't see the Warren or any of the pickup plants closing unless it is a shortage of parts because, it is hard to find any on the lots after the last big sale and you would think they would use this as an opportunity to unload some hemi motors that might not be so popular in the near future once again.

Default Finally got it

I started with this thread. So I figured I'd post here first. Ordered a new 1500 4x4 Laramie with all options except sun roof and WiFi around March 26. Truck arrived at the dealer April 27th. Finally took delivery May 8th. We (my father and I, it's really his truck, I just made a few suggestions) also ordered electric steps from Amp Research, a Dodge Bedrug, and Dodge (Leer) matching cap. I said I made a few suggestions. The cap is on order and hasn't come in yet. My father is 85 and the electric steps come down just a little bit farther so it really helps him getting in and out. Anyway, I'm trying to post a couple pictures with this thread. we'll see if it works. So far only a couple hundred miles on it. But couldn't be happier with the way it performs. I've got a couple issues with the uconnect phone and Nav features that aren't working right. But I'm hoping that will be solved soon. I even had a chance to pull an enclosed double axle trailer that weighs around 4500 pounds as a little test. I have a Prodigy brake controller installed, and it pulled and stopped like a dream. Man that Hemi can pull. I swear it accelerated almost as good as when the trailer wasn't there. I know a slight exaggeration, but I was impressed.
I hope everyone else that has ordered has the same luck we did with our order. Or you can find what you want on the lot. Sure would be a shame if they stopped building them. Good Luck.

Great looking truck! Give me info on the Power Steps. I have been considering them myself since they are less than a grand right now.

This is the website link for the electric steps:

I ordered them over the phone at the number listed on the above link. They were very helpful and easy to deal with. The hardest part is they shipped UPS sign for delivery and I'm not home during the day. But the shipping was free. And after a couple tries we got them delivered. I had the dealer install them as part of the deal. I also ordered the optional light kit for about $100. Really glad I did. The steps are right about $1000 after instant savings and $200 mail in rebate. So far we really like them.

Well mine has been finished for a while now but is still sitting in Centreville, Illinois. I am home from Afghanistan on Monday and my truck won't be there to greet me. The dealer says that the bankruptcy canceled all contracts, including shipping. So they are in limbo waiting for a new contract. He anticipates it soon, since they can't make money if they can't deliver a product. I will probably spend my whole two weeks at home on vacation and never see my truck before I have to return here in early June.

EZ, I'm truly sorry to hear your truck hasn't arrived. Seems strange that it hasn't based upon the time you ordered was a about a week ahead of mine. I was assuming yours had arrived and was waiting on you to get home. I appreciate your service to our country and can only say if you lived near me. You could have my truck to use for the time you are at home. Maybe your dealer will be as thoughtful and give you a "Loaner".
Come home soon and come home safe.

Thanks, DW, I appreciate it. Hopefully something good will happen soon.

Well, it's official. They are shutting down my dealership. When I started looking at Dodge trucks, there were 4 dealers in my area. 2 have since closed already and now Chrysler is shutting down mine. My salesman says my truck is still stuck in railyard in Centreville. No word on if and when they can get it. They have offered to return my deposit to me now. They offered, I didn't ask for it. I am seriously thinking about it. I don't like the single remaining dealership as much that is to remain open. Been chatting back and forth with my wife about it. Can't make up my mind on trying to wait it out, or just get deposit back. If I get money back, I either get a beater truck to hold me over, or I have started looking at the Ford's (Lord forgive me) online. Man this sucks!!!!
