Ordered!
If your truck is not in production you will be waiting until the 2010 models come out.
This was not correct. I was not in production as of last Friday, but am now. The North St. Louis plant was in production.
Here is some info for those that may have a truck on order.
If your truck order has been placed and you have your VIN, but it has yet to start production (D status if I recall) it is not going to be built. They will sit and be built as a 2010 model. At a minimum the lines will be shut down for 60 days.
If your truck is in production it is possible it will be completed and shipped. I will know for sure tomorrow.
This is up to the minute (OK 60 minutes). I just talked to the big cheese at my dealer who had just got off a conference call with this info. There is another call tomorrow to explain for sure what is happening with in production vehicles. I will update tomorrow.
Where is my truck? As of yesterday it is in framing, so I am still in the game, although it is the bottom of the 9th and 2 outs, but I have men on base!

I ordered my truck two weeks ago. I felt my truck wasn't going to even be built after what has happened today. So I called today to cancel my order and the dealer I'm working with told me that they could cancel. But that the truck now has been updated and has a estimated complete date of May 11th. I was so excited for this truck, but now with what has happened I'm not sure what to do. Am I getting worried over nothing?
Evidently the Dodge City (Warren, MI) truck plant worked this week also. I read on Detroit News they sent everyone home today as a supplier refused to unload a shipment of parts. One of the drawbacks of just-in-time chaos! This is odd as we can't make the 660 transmission cases fast enough. It's hard to believe they have that many built transmissions sitting there when we have been critical on these.
The government approved $5 billion for the suppliers, so hopefully that will help.

Normal is like 2 days or so max. I know they build a minivan in 24 hours or less. Well that was when they were working 3 shifts.
