I bought a really cheap cargo bar from Harbor Freight

I’m sure if you were using it a lot you would want something more durable but this works great for me. If I find that I need something more substantial, at least I have had the experience of using this and can make a better choice next time.
I attach it across the bed about a foot from the tailgate, just before the tire wells start, and then bungee stuff to it if it looks like it will slide side to side. The one I got just screws out to secure it but they make them that have a ratchet if you were moving it a lot; very convenient for me.

This might be your ticket.

Thats just one. Surf around for price.
I have used one of these for 12 years. Adds 2' when folded out.
What you dont see in the pictures is the thing folds over and lays in the bed.
Gives you a 2' deep contained area from side to side.
Its light and removal is simple.
Only draw back in the mounts for it must be drilled. Where the holes are to be drilled are stamped in your bed already.
Look at the left and right sides. You will see a sets of 3 impressions each side.
Dealer can install two differnet kinds that will be warrantied....that I know of...maybe more.
Make sure the holes you/they drill are treated prior to install.
Just another idea for you. Works for me. Makes a nice place for groceries...short trip.
Would not want to hit the interstate with groceries towards the back...unless you have a bed cover to keep the wind out. I have that too...and a bedliner to protect and keep things form sliding so bad.
Its a must for me because I carry lots of 8' things. My bed is 6' 3" stock. Now 8'-3".
Needed an 8' bed. Did not want that long of a truck. Need the Quad or Crew.
Cheers
