Took truck in for some warranty work. They also did some Rapid Response Transmittal??
I haven't waxed the truck yet, but that's coming soon. Most everything (if I find something) should be correctable with some clay bar or my porter cable. I pretty much expected to have to clay it, unless transported completely covered, they get a lot of junk on the paint from the factory and in transit.
Cheers from Mexico..
I just took my truck for first oil change and noticed also the RRT's, the ones done to my truck were:
08-101 - tailgate spoiler (should it have been replaced or only reinstalled?)
09-024 - creaking sound on seat
09-035 - Don't know what this one is for
can someone help me out on this code?

To Phil Des 09laramie,
I would not buff the truck for a few months at least, to give the clear coat time to cure completely. I have seen a few finishes end up with a fog, or haze from compounding or buffing soon after painting. Color sanding or wet sanding followed by a machine buff is really the best way to eliminate orange peel in the clear coat.
The orange peel and specs of color are only cosmetic and shouldn't affect the corrosion resistance, if that is your primary concern.
I have used a few brands of clay bar polishes and found them to work very well to remove light oxidation and surface textures, just be sure to follow directions and stay out of the sunlight while using them.
I hope this is helpful in making your decision about the paint issues with your truck.

A number of vehicles were shipped that may require the addition of two-sided tape to
the inboard edge of the tailgate spoiler to prevent it from being torn off during cargo
unloading. Dealers are required to inspect for a tailgate liner and if necessary add twosided
tape. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/4th-gen...-just-out.html

This is why it would take some major issue for me to take my truck in for a paint issue. I've found one dark spec that is in the clear coat, I'm not concerned as repairing would probably net a worse result than its current state, and only my critical eye's can see it.

My 05's paint was perfect, this 09 has a ton of dirt under the base coat. Also a few runs on the front corners of the fenders. It is silver and very hard to see but I know they are there from when waxing. The body panel alignments are also pretty poor compared to the older truck. I'll probably tinker with that a little but the paint, no way in heck I'd let the dealer touch it. They usually just do more harm than good.
what is the website, I am or was an employee, retired due to disability, I have a sign on but don't know where to go

Huh? Are you talking about factory paint? I have ordered several vehicles that only took 3-4 weeks to hit the dealer lot after they were ordered. My 98 Neon R/T only took 10 days from order to delivery. My 09 Ram was ordered on Feb. 2 and shipped on Feb. 20. Did I misread your post?
