I too got my CC Laramie without the center console because of that stupid chrome ring around the shifter blinding me. I was only reluctant to do so because I knew I'd be missing out on front ventilated seats and heated rear seats. The 98 Grand Cherokee I was coming from didn't have any of that either though, so I knew I'd survive. I'm happy with the decision I made so far.

Some of my concerns:
1. No option for a flat load floor in the back like in the quad cab. I would have preferred they went the route they did with the mega cabs where the seats folded down instead of up...

2. No rain sensitive wipers or smart beam headlamps offered like on the WK Grand Cherokee.

3. Space saver spare instead of full size.

4. Horn is hard to get a light honk out. Have you ever been at a stop light where the person in front of you doesn't see the light change green? I like to give the horn a light tap just to get their attention. It usually works without evoking a one finger salute from the distracted and delinquent driver. In this truck, you have to push the horn firmly in order to get a honk and it consequently comes out as a longer honk. Maybe its just me but I don't care for this. My 08 JK is the same way.

I have a few more, but they've already been stated by many of you. I'm perhaps in the minority here, but I like the chrome clad wheels. They're lighter and easier to clean because the brake dust doesn't bake on like it does on steel chrome wheels.

Absolutely - I noticed this on day 2. It sounds like you have a frame rattle until you discover what's wrong.

Also - anyone notice that the seats have started to squeak going over bumps and turns?

OK, now that I have had a month I can honestly say the following....

Lack of coin holder in bucket seat package
Front wheel wells have to many holes/uneven, makes them hard to clean (bet I am the first to say that one)

So I am basically saying I am very happy

Weirdest thing that I've noticed is that when I have the drivers window open and the rear slider - at highway speeds, sometimes thing rocket through the back window onto the dash.

Had a maple helicopter come firing out of the bed into the cab this morning, scared the crap out of me.

LOL.... I knew someone who was driving home a person that was drunk. The person then threw up while the truck was moving (fast) out the passenger window and a good portion end up coming back in the rear window.

I dislike the gas pedal. It's too narrow at the bottom. My foot sometimes slips off. Scares the hell out of you. Not just me either. it's happen to the wife too. Also thought about putting a piece of black carpet on the front passenger door post to quiet the seatbelt rattle.

-Wish the green lights on the center portion of dash and cubby holes were white instead of ugly bluish green.

-Wish the oil filter wasn't on so tight and easier to get to

-Wish rims were real

-Wish factory dual exhuast was tad bit louder and meaner

-Wish the sides of the seat where your hiney sits wasn't so curved

-Wish I could keep it clean and fueled up all the time lol.

I have not read through the whole thread so if I repeat...

My main pet peeve is with the EVIC!!! Temp still wrong, even after a trip to the dealer for repair. Also, the miles to empty and mpg should be together!!!

The other peeve is now all my friends want me to drive when we carpool...

This is a great topic;
I dislike the EVIC not showing the 2 best at the same time,
I thought mine was the only one rattling on the right seat belt when not used, you have to place the buckle male part in the slot on the pillar to stop it
Seat squeaked till the dealer greased them on a TSB
Hood squeaked till the dealer installed the clips, another TSB
Water puddles on the rear spoilergate
oil and filter EASY
no roof sunglesses holder like in my "99"
some one needs to come out next year with a BIGGER rearview mirror that turns green, mirror is smaller than my 99

all in all a great truck so far........

There is a sunglass holder the cubby on top of the radio, perfect for sunglasses, (in a case sitting there without one in the sun could be painful
