Default High beams not really high/bright

guys,
Is it just my truck 10/08 built 1500 SLT or does everyone's high beam lights just flicker for a second and not get bright? I had it parked in from of a stone wall, and when I hit the high beams, they didn't even make it off the cinderblock which was lit up w/ the regular beams. Warranty issue or will I get laughed out of the dealership?

thanks,

Dave

Every part of the lights on these trucks suck.

the regular lights aren't bright enough and the high beams are worse then the regular lights

The fog lights make a HUGE difference. So much in fact that I do not even use my (pitiful) high beams because in doing so it turns off the fog lights.

They are deffinately worth the $200 that you can find them for on ebay.

The lights aren't that great but they are set way to low from the factory. Lift the hood and there's a little hole with an arrow pointing at it. This is the headlight adjustment. I turned mine clock wise about 4 times to get the high beams up. Your needs may be different. Just get a socket and go down a dark road and adjust as needed. I don't know why they set them so low.

I just adjusted my lights on my sport and it made a huge difference! 7mm socket on a 1/4 drive with 6 inch extension. Turned the screw clockwise which raises both the low & high beams... I ended up giving mine 6 turns in and now I can see those critters before i grill em!
