Lowes sells a nice carpet that is 6' x 8' I think for maybe $20 or so. When I had a Wrangler I built a rollaround cart and covered it with this. I had a hoist that I would raise my hardtop off the Jeep, drive out from under it and lower it on the cart. Made it easy for one person to handle it. It's a little thicker than auto carpet but not as thick as house carpet so it's easy to work with.

Thanks. I already bought it here. Not much more and should be very close to the original if not exact: http://www.automotiveinteriors.com/c...out_carpet.htm

Thanks Bubba for getting this thread and mod going. I missed the fold out from my 02 QC so much that I ordered the floor kit yesterday for my 09 CC. You topped it off by showing us the "Refresh Your Ride" program to get $40 off. This thread shows what great info we can all benefit from on this Forum. I ordered mine from Ram Parts Store for $206.64. With the coupon, it will net out at $166.00. That is a great deal. Thanks again for the info.

No problem. Just make sure you put 05, 06, or 07 Ram on the rebate coupon. I leave my back seats up most of the time. I'm hauling more things on the floor plus the dogs than the kids in the seats.

Default Crew Cab Storage Compartment Cover

As promised. All done. Works great and looks factory.

Total cost about $50 or so. The majority of the expense was the automotive carpet.

Looks good! I had to have the fold flat floor so I could put my dog crate in the back.

Thanks, I had to have just the cover, so my dogs wouldn't step on everything in the compartments. The things we do for our pets...

I should have my floor kit tomorrow. Bubba, do you have any install hints or observations for me like hidden or difficult fasteners?

The difficult part is the inside bolts the springs are on. Once you remove the springs, break the bolts loose with a wrench. You then have to back the screw out by hand using the part the spring was covering. These bolts will not come out of the seat brackets unless you remove a seat. They back up against each other. You have to pull the lid toward you while turning the bolt by hand. If you want you can put some tape over the bolts to keep them from rattling after removal of the lids. I just left mine loose and I don't hear them. Everything else is easy.

Forgot to add: if you have the sub, mount the sub brackets on top of the fold flat floor brackets.
