price would depend on the kind of oil. If it's free-bies, or discounts, I doubt you're getting top notch stuff. 7 Quarts of mobile 1 and a pure one filter cost me over 50 bucks. Getting oil by the drum is cheaper, yes, but it is still not free.
I sent my dealer's service manager an email the other day asking what brand of oil they use (he never did answer that), this is what he sent back (Full synthetic seems way too long in my mind):
Think I'll stick to my plans of mobile 1 every 5-6000.

Depending upon what type of oil is used will change your oil change oil intervals. We have three different types we use here, conventional ,semi synthetic or fully synthetic. Normally factory uses conventional unless otherwise stated on oil cap which is normally recommended to be changed every 3000 mi. If you were to use the semi synthetic we recommend 5000 mi and 10000 mi for fully synthetic.

The truck calculates (estimates) when the oil needs to be changed based on your driving habits. This is mainly based on whether you do a lot of city (repeated acceleration) driving, drive aggressively, drive at high speeds, or tow. I'm at 4,900 miles with no oil change due. I believe you can get up to 7,500, on regular oil, before you need an oil change with the Hemi.

Also, the $4.50 deal was for my own oil & filter, so I'll be heading by Walmart to pick up some Mobil 1 and I think i'll just use that everytime my truck tells me I need an oil change. I probably could go every 10,000 miles with Mobil 1, but I rather not.
