Called Procomp, lift wont work on TRX4 because of spacer
Called Superlift, additional components needed because of this spacer
Called BDS, Kit will work because they fabbed the prototype kit to fit a TRX4

All 3 have stated a difference, and a previous thread showed there was different heights between 4x4 and TRX4

There is only one company that has advertised a difference between the models and warned publicly about using the spacer kit on a TRX. I meant to call Rough Country today, to get there take and I will be POed if they tell me to take the kit off considering they specifically told me it wouldn't be a problem.
As I said on the other site I spoke with Rough Country today and the have never seen or tested their kit on a TRX4 and were unaware it was different. One answer they gave that made me laugh was, if it will align it SHOULD be ok.

Does anyone have access to a parts manual to see which part or parts are actually different (spacer/strut)? I imagine the part(s) will have the same item number but be listed twice in the description with one specifiying TRX4. Anyways, good investigative work, we are getting close to figuring it out.

on the dodge website the TRX4 and the 4X4 are the EXACT same height, i think that the only reason that the TRX4 has a spacer is because they have 31-32 inch tires and the regular 4X4 has 33's so they couldn't make the "off road" edition lower then the other 4X4's

but i could be wrong

Apparently the strut is different on the TRX. I don't think it has been confirmed that it is any longer, just that it has a different part number. The different part number would be because it has a different shock inside the strut for the TRX trucks. It may very well be the same overall length though.

I'll bet the TRX trucks have no lift what-so-ever.

This info is straight off the dodge website. I put the models of the trucks in parentheses and that is how they go all the way down the list. As you can see the overall height and ground clearance of all angles are the EXACT same

So they just are keeping the height with rubber on the 17's because like I said before when trying to get in with wheelchair both were the same as far as I could tell. Usually 3 inches would be quite a bit but it made no diff. Makes sense you need more rubber to protect your wheels and your spine when driving off road. I had a 2000 Dakota Quad cab SLT loaded. Anyway that thing was wonderful in the snow, road nice on and off road, the bigger tires were the reason, funny it even handled pretty dam good on the dry road. I switched to a Durango R/T also 4x4...they all were....the handling was great like driving a car, nice a low to get into and was good in the snow to very lets say nimble driving vehicle. I put some nice Falken on it just before I traded it cuz of gas and now I am into a Hemi....went thru a Sebring and a Charger in 6 months, one got totalled theother was taken in early so i would buy the truck. Sorry for rambling

Check the rear springs on the TRX. I hear they have air bags inside them to up the loading.
