I'm thinking about going with a carbon fiber wrap kit.

I'll try and get some pictures up when I get home tonight

Iross: Yes... You do have to take the chrome ring off in order to get to the stereo. Someone posted a step-by-step on how to get to the stereo. If you do a search, I'm sure can find it. The only trick to taking the chrome ring off without breaking it is going very very slowww. There are like 7 or 8 tabs that lock the piece into place. Each tab has little "teeth" that only like to go in one direction - much like a zip-tie. You just have to be patient, going around the piece again and again, removing each tab one click at a time.

woah woah woah, why are you worrying about the stereo system when there are more pressing issues at hand. You cant solve any other problems until you fix the speed limiter. That is obviously the first issue that needs to be fixed and no other problem matters. Hmmm I guess ill go buy a programmer since this is the only problem OH WAIT there arent any, but we cant fix the chrome glare issue when the remedy is a can of spray paint and an hours worth of work.

The moral to this story is "think before you post"

thank you

ok, so flat black is probably the best choice to match the console area...

first i guess i am lucky never noticed a glare from the chrome ring but i usually wear sunglasses when its sunny out but i can agree with both sides especially that i shouldnt have to buy a programmer to make the truck run like it should from the factory

I bought the carbon fiber kit from autozone $29 and after my second attempt at putting this stuff on here is the best I could do. As you can see in the pictures it is hard to get the corners of the carbon fiber wrap to follow the contours of the bezel. And finally SOME PICTURES........
