Thumbs up TRX4 Leveling Help/Question

Ok so we've established we have longer shocks and no spacer. Who has found a spacer/leveling kit that is compatible with the TRX4? If so a good spot to buy? Price?

Thanks guys!

Ryan Albert (I think) leveled his TRX-4. Ask him.

I have the day star and it was $129. with a discount. It is coming off soon to replace it with a new Rancho lift that will be out soon. I get to test it first

i dont beleive anyone makes one compatible for the trx because if it sits 1-1.5" higher from the factory even if you add a 2" level kit that would be equivalent to a 3-3.5" lift which you could do but in my opinion would put too much strain on your front end without drop brackets but it can be done just not recommended

My TRX is level. I used the rough country kit, which afterwards the front actually sat about .5"-1" higher than the rear. I didn't want to tear off the whole kit, and since the rough country kit makes their rear spacers sit on the bottom of the coil, you can also put one on top (like the Daystar kit) with no negative effects. Now Daystart sells the rear only kit but its costs 115 and that is ridiculous, so I went to Advanced Auto and they had universal coil spacers for 9.95 each. Bought those, jacked it up threw them in and NOW my truck actually does sit level. Well the rear my be a half inch or less higher, but thats much better than the front being higher. I have put about 3900 miles on the leveling kit, 1500 of those with the 2nd rear spacer in place and have had no problems. Had the truck looked at by the alignment shop and they say non of the front parts are at unusual or extreme angles .

ryan,
if i read your post right you have the 3/4" rough country spacers under your rear coils then you added another spacer on top of the coil.
wow,do yourself a favor and call readylift, superlift, rough country or any suspension company and they will tell you that 2.5" is the max amount of lift you can put on the front end before you have to add drop brackets to let the suspension work properly.also two spacers on the rear coils is not safe in my opinion it is only a matter of time before you will have a problem i'm pretty sure anyone of the suspension companies will say the same.just because something works that doesnt make it right or safe.i also have redone alot of jobs that other mechanics or shops said was ok and they werent

Called Rough Country twice after I heard about this stuff and they said you should not have a problem and did not advise me to remove the kit. As far as the rear goes, with the struts bolted in (have to unbolt to put in spacer) there is not play in the rear springs. You say its unsafe, tell me why. What could happen? I'm not being smart by no means, just curious at what exactly COULD happen with my rear setup that makes it unsafe, and what problems will come about?

Its not like leveling blocks on leaf springs. The suspension is not going to collapse with two spacers under the rear end.

Why is it unsafe?

That is what I am waiting to hear, because if there is an actual reason I may rethink. I just don't throw crap on my truck, I research, think about it and ask experts in the field. I would not have done it without doing those 3 things.

For a pickup that isn't used for rockcrawling it isn't going to matter - as long as the upper spacer is sitting around something like an internal bump stop. (Havn't looked to see if there is one on a Ram) In offroad vehicles the concern would be that an unretained spacer could fall out when the coil is at full droop.
