I would bet most of your time was spent either soaking or removing what was left of the adhesive. My truck ws sitting in the shade and no heat or chemical was applied to the badges.
1. Got fishing line (I took it from my son's spiderman pole ) worked it just behind the badges. (5-7 min). Leaves almost ALL of the 3M on the truck.
2. Used an eraser wheel in a Dewalt cordless drill to remove adhesive starting from the top and working my way down. (8-10 min)
3. Brushed off the mess with a microfiber towel and used a little denatured alcohol to get out the eraser wheel residue/marks. (2-3 mins).
