I would hope after a while I could get around 18 with the truck. especially after learning how to keep it in 4 cylinder mode as much as possible. I have read on here anything from 12 - 20 mpg. are the upper teens really possible on a daily driver basis?
First off dont listen to any one who tell you the MPG from the truck computer, its out from 1 to 3 MPG over real world.
Next the MPG for this truck is based on the 2wd base model single cab, they dont have MPG rating for each model cab style.
Deisel get higher MPG then gas but maintenance costs are higher on a Deisel.
If your concerned about cost of gas dont buy a truck, there is a 100 million barrels of oil in stored in parked super tankers around the world and prices are still going up. They dont want to sell oil to the U.S. for $70.00
barrel the want to sell it for $100.00 +
