What happening is CJDTAUTOTECH posted a thread "Good news flash for fuel saver light". In this thread he states that the 18-019-09 flash allows the fuel saver light to activate on truck with the MDS 5.7 hemi built before 12/08. Later it was discovered that this flash is only working on the single exhuast models, not the dual exhuast. Also this flash is good for trucks that have a certain order code (look in the thread for those codes). What the big question is why doesn't work for the dual exhuast as the program is only reporting that the engine is in 4cyl. mode.

I know that I was wanting confirmation from others that it does indeed work on the ones with single exaust and no previous fuel savor light. like it was posted.

I went thru the 9 pages and 88+posts and it looks like the only one it worked on was the original poster.

It may have something more to do with what he said about the config build or whatever it was called. If you remember, there is a thread on here where the guy had his EVIC changed due to a problem and the replacement had the indicator. Might be the software in the EVIC itself.

For what it's worth, I bought my truck on 3/6/09 with single exhaust and I haven't seen a fuel saver light ever come on and my truck was built on 2/11/09 in Fenton, Missouri.

Maybe the option is not turned on because you should definitely have the indicator. Check the setup screen.

Then again, don't you have an ST? So there is no EVIC to have the indicator show up on?
