Default Ticking

My 09 Ram sport crew 5.7 has 1000 kms on it, after running 10 to 15 minutes I can hear a ticking sound coming from side of engine thru wheel well. Dealer said it is hemi noise mechanical top end, i think it is an exhaust leak. Any ideas.

Hard to say without hearing it in person but a lot of newer vehicles have valvetrain noise due to the thin oil being using. I wouldn't worry about it as long as the dealer will warranty it if it breaks.

I have two 09 rams that both have it. I hate it but it seems to be normal according to them.

I have two 09s and mine dont do it. I did have a tick with full synthetic oil so I pulled it out after 500 miles and it went away. At that time I decided not to use a full synthetic oil again.

I'm not sure if your ticking problem was the same as mine, however, my truck started ticking real bad. It ended up being that the chrome mopar nerf boards I had were too loose. They tightened it and it stopped but then it sounded like they were going to break anytime I stepped on them. They installed a bushing kit for them and it stopped. Not sure if you have the same running boards, but you never know.
