No big money here, lol. I want the remote start anyways and the best bet for quality/quantity will be the viper 5901 kit for me. I've been to the dealer for several things now and each time I was truckless for days. If they had a sure fix/100% poss of what it is, then warranty/free dollars is a bonus. I just can't do the running back and forth of maybe it's this, bring it in and we'll test it. They know there's a prob with the unit, but they aren't going to do a recall and replace all of them. Just passify ppl with a new key fob or module, come to find out it does it again down the road. It's a flawed system and they know it, we all can't be having the same problem and they have no clue...

I hope yours doesn't start messing up on ya, it's a pain.

I am now convinced it is not the fob on my vehicle. It still messed up today. This time when my fob did not work, I asked my wife to try hers. Neither would open the truck. We both just kept pressing the buttons until the doors opened. This tells me the receiver is the issue since both fobs would not work. I talked to the service department today when I took the truck in for an oil change. They told me that this is a new keyless entry system. It looks like we are the beta testers (suckers).

My system only locks and unlocks the doors. I do not have the remote start and/or alarm system. At least I can open my door with the key without an alarm going off. Still sucks though. Just one more first (first vehicle I have owned with this problem).
