6000K HID's Installed!
#21
I installed the HID's today. Primary lights, and fogs only (not high beams). It looks fantastic, but I get a little bit of flicker when they warm up to ON for the headlights. Is this normal? It seems to happen with the auto lights ON, and not when the switch is manually turned to the on position.
Thoughts?
P.S. I went with the 4500's.

kxwhite. if you live in the sticks. i would recomend getting the fog lights, and low beams in about 5000k or 6000k. it will be so bright you wont believe it.
i think their is a problem putting hid's in your high beams. not because you will be flicking them on off, but because you will be leaving them on for extended periods. i had an 08 grand cherokee with stock hid's. i think it had regular bulbs for the high beams, for both issues, "flash to pass" and leaving them on for extended periods. the best thing to do would be to ask hidextra.
maybe you will end up buying all 3!!!!

Thanks for the post, helped out with my install. I was wondering if you came across this very strange situation as i did. I have a Valentine One radar detector in my truck and after the install every time I turn my lights on the radar detector goes off. I was guessing the ballasts gave out some sort of electrical signal to create this issue. But After i took the HID lows out and kept the fogs in with the same ballasts it didnt happen. Strangest thing and I dont want to give up my Valentine detector.
