Default 6000K HID's Installed!

well the weather finally cooperated with me and i got my 6000K HID's installed. I havent seen them at night yet but they are worth every penny! Thanks to BubbaHemi, EddieHemi, and Twiggy for answering all my questions:worthy:

1. Remove plastic shield thingy across the top of radiator. the plastic rivets just pop out when you pull on them.
2. Remove 4 bolts on top of grille that hold it to the radiator support. according to the FSM you do not have to remove the grille to take the heads out. i dont have a extension for my sockets long enough to reach the bottom bolt so i removed it.
3. Carefully pull at the bottom of the grille. i got a little to rough with it and broke the drivers side clip on the bottom.
4. Remove 2 bolts on inboard side of headlight.
5. Open access panel on wheel well liner and reach in and slide the white plastic latch up to unlock the ball joint that holds the heads in. i couldnt get a pic from the back but pic 2 shows the clip.
6. Pull headlight out. slide the red clips on the connectors down and press the tab under the red clips and pull the connectors apart.
7. One the back side of the headlight there are 2 round caps. the top one is the lows and the bottom is the highs. I only did my lows and fogs. take the cap off.
8. Disconnect the plug to the bulb and then remove the bulb and set it aside.
9. I had to use a file and shave the tabs down on the new bulbs for them to fit. Also you will have to swap the O-ring from the stock bulb onto the HID bulb. Also you will have to cut the tab off of the factory bulb plug for it to fit into the HID plug.
10. It is up to you whether you want to drill a hole in the cap or leave it off. I left mine off for now but i do plan on drilling them and putting them back on for a cleaner install.
11. I zip tied the ballast to the frame because i didnt have time or tools to drill and tap some holes to bolt them in.
12. Reinstall in reverse order.
13. Fogs were more simple to install. Just remove stock bulbs and swap the O-rings and reinstall. i didnt get any pics of the fog install due to my camera dying.

now the pics

I'm assuming you used a 55 watt system, therefore it isn't necesarry to is the flicker/ cancel harness. Does anyone know if the use of a 35 watt system for the foglights would cause error/bulb out messages on the instrument cluster?
