DiabloSport pinging on 87 tune
You can do this without him doing the tune. Just go to modify tune and adjust parameters. I know he takes quite a bit of TM out of his tunes. I would go ahaead and get your log ready. Instructions he gave me for log was to allow truck to idle while logging for 2-3 minutes and then drive aroud town for awhile (I did 15 minutes) and then a WOT.

Ya I did that and it wouldnt get out of first gear then it went out of gear like neutral then back to 1st. I told diablo about it and they know about the problem and plan to try to fix it eventually. I know another issue with the 09 tuner lol! So if mike can fix this other tune problem also the better.
I have been reading these tuning threads to be sure there were no issues like we saw with the initial release of the bully dog tuner for the 09, has anyone just loaded the Diablo tune, has the stock intake, and the truck has no issues? If you have decent gas in your area - we have Sunoco, Sunoco delivery trucks and Sunoco refinery in the PA areas ) and run the recommended octane, the knock sensor can pull enough timing to stop detonation. We 'should' not have to play around with the canned setting for air/fuel ratio unless you have an intake since the tune is already leaning out the mixture - from what I have read, Diablo built the tune on test trucks with stock intakes so your base a/f ratios would be close to dead on with the stock setup, perhaps slightly different from truck to truck, but close.
I have had three custom tuned F150's, never any problems with the tunes, and my only initial observation after the tune was loaded was simply driveability, slight drive line clunking from the torq converter going into lockup too soon with around town driving. The price you pay for max power at the wheels at all time, probably saves the trans in the long run but takes away some of the factory tune smoothness. ( other issues came a year later from me beating on the truck daily )
I am leaning on going with a custom tune from Mike but was looking for a few success stories as this is my 5th 1/2 ton truck over the past 6 years, first Dodge though, but a keeper this time.
