Default Dealers Suck

well i just left the dealership thinking i would be leaving with a new 10 ram crew cab but the sales manager wouldnt accept my offer. we couldnt make a deal for $90.00. The truck MSRP out $40,220 which with ep was $35,625. After rebates and taxes and minuse my trade in i offered him 30,000 but for $90.00 i couldnt sign a thing. He tried to jerk me around and its my money and i would have signed had he not been such a jerk...just wanted to vent about our terrible dealerships we have today

LOL - they wouldn't cave to your demands so that makes them a bad dealer?

Stand your ground.
I don't know where you are but there a many dealerships to choose from in the Houston area, even after Dodge closed some.

When you end up getting a better deal at another dealer and you make your purchase, make sure to swing by this dealer and do a burnout in his parking lot. Ok, or at least stop in and show that manager your pretty new truck and brag about how you gave his competitor your business. Its the least you could do.

It most certainly makes them a bad dealer. As the way this situation was posted over 90 bucks the dealer should realize that service is a key contributing factor. They could have made that up in oil changes and etc...

Today's market is about the providing excellent service. If you can't let the average Joe take another 90 bucks off the price than you dont belong in a sales position...

There's got to be a line somewhere. There's not always another $90 to give.

So that dealer was only making 90 bucks off of that sale? C'mon...

I am sure they could have made the whoppin 90 up in service...

LOL - you just don't get it. There has to be a line somewhere. So if they accepted his offer then should he be able to get it for $90 less than that offer? If so, then I want to buy stuff from you - until you go bankrupt.

The OP must not have wanted the truck that bad to walk away over $90. Wish other companies would negotiate down like we expect auto companies to do. Furniture stores rarely go lower than their sales prices, plumbers rarely knock off much from their estimate, etc.

Guy seriously - In no way was I stating that 180 be taking off or in the matter 360 or however you want to minipulate the numbers... The post clearly said there was a deal to made for another 90 bucks. If the customer then went back and said give me more than the dealer has every right to be an ***... But for 90 bucks not 180 not 200 but for 90 bucks the dealer could have budged...
