Thumbs down DiabloSport pinging on 87 tune

I'm even running 91 octane and tried 3 different brands of gas and still getting some pinging even with the higher octane. Sounds like our 09 tune was rushed out to soon at the expense of our engines. They are even having problems with the custom shift points. So looks like i'm going back to stock tune till they get the bugs worked out. Be carefull guys.

Mine is not doing it with the 93, but I know you can not get 93 gas.

Be sure to post your displeasure on their forum. I am not impressed with thier support. Reading their forum most replies on their forum from techs are for future customers rather than helping current ones.

I too have had issues with customer support. I love the product but you call in and the guys don't answer the question. Example- I called last week because I could not find a specific gauge to record long term and short term knock. I was told I just have to look around on the trinity since they can't possibly know every gauge for every car. I called back when I was still unable to find it and I was told to post it on the forum and some of the customers might reply. Overall, pleased with the product but the guys that answer the phones need more info on the products.

LOL...its not like Cali is a 3rd world country. We do have a few gas stations who dispense 100 Octane. Its just that it is not really cost effective unless you can figure your tank size and 91 mix ratio to bust it down correctly.

Sorry to hear about the Diablo issues everyone is having.

I have the Trinity and I'm getting some bad knocks with 89 octane on the 87 tune. I hope they fix it, or I might break down and get a custom tune. I have no idea what to pay for one due to the huge difference in pricing.

Their forums are nice sometimes, other times they suck. It appears as if they pick and choose what they want to answer. There are lots of threads about the knocking problem but no real solution besides "add fuel" or change the spark timings.

I wish there was a way I could learn more about how to tune myself. What is a good price for a custom tune on a dyno? Anyone know?
