I agree there is a line that is drawn that cannot and should not be crossed. If you can't make that work then move on to another dealer and try there. If you get the same response you know you are at the bottom of their allowances. If you get the deal they the other guy was being a dick.
On the other hand for 90 bucks both of you were being unreasonable. If it is a matter of you can't afford the 90 bucks then a RAM with a HEMI or not is not the vehicle you want. The HEMI cost more for oil changes unless you bring the extra oil yourself. The HEMI needs plugs changed every 30g miles. I find that amazing, and it has 16 spark plugs. Just food for thought.

not all 16 plugs need changed at 30,000 miles...

and you don't need to do it every 30,000 miles... reread the manual

i can afford the 90 bucks its that we went in with an offer of 30000 even after my trade and rebates and everything else...they came back with 30500. i reasoned and offered to meet them half way but he wouldnt do that his other counter was 30350 and thats when i walked away because i knew he was just being an A$$ for 90 bucks

Simply put, not all dealers are "bad".

If I was starting a car company I think I would want car company owned dealerships, screw the independent owned stuff.

Yeah, if he was being a douche. I'd of walked too regardless of price.
But having said that, I know I've run into this very same situation and I always try to ask for something else if we are stuck on the price. A lot of us get so focused on the price of the new car we don't think outside of that.
Have gotten "free" window tinting, oil changes, gas, etc.

Bought my Ram through the Internet Manager to avoid the B.S. these days.

FYI - your math sucks. You're whining about $100 not $90.

(half way between 30,000 and 30,500 is 30,250 - they counter with 30,350)

30,350 - 30,250 = 100

He should have done as my dealer did to me, minus the 90.00 then charge 295.00 for window etching.

Lol, yea thats funny,I kinda found the destination charge being charged for a vehicle that I hav'nt even seen yet at the dealership kinda funny. Was it my idea to ship that vehicle to the dealership, no it was the dealerships.Just gripping about something else that is a industry standard as far as vehicle pricing goes..................Kevin.
