because you do not use your high beams in the fog...

I doubt that dodge has a setting for this (it is possible though I guess). You can always do a hardware hack with a couple of relays and diodes I can figure up a circuit diagram for you if you really want.

Buy a bullydog programmer. It will allow you to set the fogs to stay on with the high beams (among other things). The good thing is, when you return the truck to stock, that part stays put, so you can return it if you don't want the tune.

This has been a standard in the auto industry for decades. My 1995 Grand Cherokee was the same way.

Ain't broken - nothing to fix. A "Fog" light is not a daytime running light. In many states you can be cited for running with Fog lights on during non-fog conditions - and that includes Texas.

Keep in mind the lighting system in the Dodge uses pulsed power that is fed back through the CAN bus. That's done so the computer can detect a burned-out bulb. While it can work to override the computer, you might get relay buzzing if the relays you use aren't fast enough. There's some guidance on the web on how to prevent the buzzing.

Not guaranteed to cause a problem - I've modified with no issues. There just a lot of stuff out there that suggests this has been a real problem for some.

It's the law I thought. I was told that at the dealer when they told me they could and would not. I only asked because someone on another forum asked and I was going to the dealer so I figured I give it a go.

It doesn't matter what the law says, it's your truck. As long as you dim them when a car is coming, all is well. You need to be able to see at night, and the fog lights make a world of difference, especially when coupled with the high beams. Yeah, yeah, I don't care about what all you law abiding types have to say.
